Re: Last thing you Watched/Read.

The last books I've recently finished is a re-read of The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath and Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser. The latter book is a definite eye-popper, and for me, one of my favorite school compulsory books I've read thus far.

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SILENCE!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, it means a lot.

That cake will be MINE. Chocolate has always been a pleasure I've tried not to binge on.

Once again, thank you all... Here's to more birthdays!

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EARL !

Happy belated birthday, Earl! I'm sorry that I forgot, I know it's three days late. Life has been hectic with teachers assigning final projects.

I hope everything is well.

Re: Do you support this website? Why don't you like sports?

It has been a long time since I've posted here. However, I'll try my best to respond. I've never liked sports, as I was never interested in it at all. I just didn't get the enjoyment out of seeing physical contests between other people. Personally though, I've never been one for anything that involv...

Re: Happy Birthday Silence!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes guys. Between trying to manage my baby sister plus my baby cousin, annotating and reading Animal Farm, and plain chaos in general. The summer has been quite eventful but very rewarding. Also, special thanks to Earl for the birthday cake. Though now I feel older... ...

Re: What will non-sports-fans be doing during the Super Bowl

I'll most likely do whatever I usually do during a regular day. Completing weekend homework, reading some novels, surfing the web, playing some video games, and some other stuff. Just with the added chaotic elements of my father screaming at the TV... Though I'm quite glad he doesn't invite friends ...

Re: Wishing Everybody Here A Happy New Year 2011

It's just a little old habit of mine usually. One day I may find my signature good, but when I sign on again, I decide that I want to change it for some reason that's quite hard to explain. Currently, my signature is the first two lines of the chorus in a song titled "The Only One' by Evanescen...

Re: Wishing Everybody Here A Happy New Year 2011

I know I am possibly 11 or 12 days late but, happy 2011 to everyone here. I've been extremely busy with the more extensive coursework being offered in my new English class, but it's definitely more rewarding and fun. I'm currently skimming through the pages of a novel that was assigned for the class...

Re: chess and coffee clubs

I'm quite fond of a game of chess from time to time. Albeit I'm only a beginner, it's quite fun to have a game that challenges you to think critically. However, everyone has their own opinions, so it's quite fine to have a disdain for chess. There are many other things in the world that can easily p...

Re: Last thing you Watched/Read.

Right now, I'm currently re-reading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen... Hello Silence, Were you aware that the Dashwoods are among the many girls who have recently taken up the fine sport of boxing ? They only spar with other girls, of course, but the sport has made them more assertive i...

Re: Last thing you Watched/Read.

Right now, I'm currently re-reading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. Possibly one of my favorite novels to read from the 19th century. The last thing I remember reading in English class though, was an excerpt from one of Amy Tan's novels, called Rules Of The Game . It was pretty fun reading it,...

Re: The "I will be away for a while" thread

I may be taking on another leave again. Except this time, it will extend for a longer period of time. I've just recently found out that I will be in Honors English in my second semester of school. I can't screw this up, this may be my ONLY chance to learn what I've missed as of now, and if I do fail...

Re: The "I will be away for a while" thread

Interesting conference... Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't see the point in repeating the same theories over and over again if it is not broadcasted in a big network. Then again, I know virtually nothing about economics. Anyway, to comment on my sudden absence. No, I haven't dismissed this webs...

Re: Nerds? I don't THINK SO!

My input of the word "nerd", well... It's not necessarily an insult to my daily roundings of well... Insults. For the reason being that it isn't used against me very often. Of course, I consider myself a nerd using the second defintion of it. There are other derogatory words that have a mo...

Re: I was a disappointment to my father

Well, judging from what I've read, I'll put my input of impressions and the like. Yes, I used to be impressionable when I was very young, maybe around 10 or 11. I quite learned it was a very bad idea to let your ignorance of the world take over you. It's like a feeling of being lied to in a way, you...
