Re: United Kingdom Alternative Vote referendum, 2011

One other interesting thing that has come out of the elections this week is the massive gains the SNP have made over in Scotland. Apparently they are going to have a referendum at some point over the next few years regarding whether Scotland should become an independent nation or not. I never even s...

What a song this is. Sends chills down my spine every time. A real classic in every sense of the word.

I wouldn't start laughing too hard at him, ChrisOH... after all, he's an expert! I think we should let him have a further say... oh, wait.

Re: We're not alone!

Man, they've actually been tricked into believing that the stars of "their sport" actually care a single bit about what their fans think of them as long as they're making money in ridiculous amounts. They actually think that the stars of "their sport" are actually going to be gra...

Re: United Kingdom Alternative Vote referendum, 2011

Well, today was the day of the referendum on AV here in Britain and I went to vote earlier. It does seem as though it won't pass given what I have been reading around the internet, but I suppose that we should appreciate the fact that we are entitled to a vote and a chance to elect our local officia...

Re: Two threads you may be interested in seeing.

Well, Earl, I did accept Andy's apology (to some extent). It was good of him to face the music, come onto this thread that dwelled upon an imperfection of his and apologise to us for what he did. He could have avoided the issue altogether and not said a word, but I have to give him some credit for t...

Re: Canadian Elections

I believe a "riding" over in Canada is the equivalent of what we here in Britain call a "constituency" (just a guess). I don't know what the American equivalent is, though - maybe it's a position like a Governor or Senator. I don't know for sure. Tomorrow we're having a referendu...

Re: We're not alone!

I actually tried to sign up to their forum last night but their crappy server packed in just as I'd completed the registration form, so I just gave up. Seriously, though, I'm fascinated to know why a) they were so hostile to your presence on a thread which would obviously welcome your viewpoints (we...

Re: We're not alone!

I'm personally surprised that, given the thread title, you didn't receive a more positive response. One may argue that your posts were extreme and had no place on a video-game discussion board but on a topic called "Fuck the NFL", what did they expect? It's practically an invitation for sp...

Re: Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden dead

Well, this evil, bloodthirsty man has finally got what was coming to him. In life he did nothing but bring fear to the lives of many people - he deserved nothing better than to "die by the sword". Let's just hope now that someone just as extreme and tyrannical doesn't take his place... Bes...

Re: We're not alone!

Hahaha, I was reading the posts on that thread and noticed one of the users decrying the excessive wages of sports players even though he had a huge Bayern Munich banner as his signature. They're paid too much... but that doesn't stop you from gladly encouraging it, does it? Or maybe this is one of ...
