Re: Music

Just goes to show how diverse the tastes of us sports-haters are. Some like rap, some like classic rock, some like techno-house, some like jazz, and so on and so on. Isn't it great how a group of people who probably have nothing else in common get along so well when we all agree that sport...

I'm really hoping that was just a Halloween costume or something.

The craziest to me is the guy who's threatening to jump off the roof because his soccer team lost! :?

Re: A Challenge to Sports Fans

Were they offered less than the house's market value? If so, then obviously it's very wrong. They were only offered $22500 average. This is Dallas. Even the most run-down dilapidated slum houses here in Raleigh are worth at least three times as much, and we're generally considered a "c...

Re: March Madness = March Insanity

March madness is the worst example of sports. During march normal regular non-basketball enthusiast(including other sports fans) suddenly start paying attention to college basketball just because of peer pressure. I bet most fans haven't even watched one full college basketball game this year . The...

Re: Trophy Kids

Wow. I used to joke that people should have to take a class and pass a test to get a "License to Parent".

But now less of a joke and more like a damn good idea! :|

For fun: Jocks in Embarrassing Situations

 You all will absolutely LOVE these: http://oddee.com/item_96611.aspx  Warning...the first one looks like the runner actually crapped his pants, so don't look if you're eating. And the wrestlers...well, that just verifies everything I've ever thought about them. :P

Re: A Challenge to Sports Fans

Welcome...excellent post. I agree with everything you said so probably can't add too much. All I can say is: Wow...and people here get upset if a road widening takes up a sliver of their yard! They have no idea how good they have it in comparison. :?

Re: Twenty most ridiculous complaints received by tour operators

Tourists can be some of the biggest complainers in the world. And...no offense to anyone here...but I'm not surprised this list came from Britain. They're about the only ones in the world who have a worse reputation than Americans in the Foreign Tourist category. Though that's probabl...

Re: Is mindless hate better than mindless sports?

Mindless hate is not what we're about here. Sometimes some of the posters may have trouble getting their thoughts across in a tactful manner, but there are many clear reasons behind our sports hatred. Yes you are right we should concentrate on facts or personal experience than generalizing or name-c...

Re: Parentswho lost children to drunk footballer unable to adopt

Awful story. I don't know much about adoption law---especially Britain's---but I certainly hope after that two-year period is over, that they're able to adopt. In the meantime (again, not know much about British law), I wonder if they could sue the pants off of him. The jail time he got was ridiculo...
