Ah, thank you so much. It must be June 5 over on your end already. Sadly here it's only 3:20pm on the 4th. Gotta wait a bit longer yet... nonetheless, cheers for starting the thread and the poster. Shame that my birthday celebrations won't quite be the same as that... 
Here's an interesting coincidence for you... if my hunch about your time zone is right, you must have submitted that post at 12:42 am on 5 June (2010). I myself was born at 12:42 pm on 5 June (1981).

And here's an interesting coincidence for you 1981 - those car pics that I have been using as my avatar lately, are actually screen shots from the movie "Mad Max 2" (or possibly you people O.S. might know that movie as "The Road Warrior"?).
Well, last night I googled that movie just out of curiosity to find out when it was released, and you'll never guess what? It was released in the year... guess... go on, have a guess... you give up?... Mad Max 2... was released... in the year... 1981!

Thank you dickfilthy, Earl, Lewis, Fat Man and HugeFanOfBadReligion for the birthday wishes. As of now, I am 29 years, 1 hour and 52 minutes old.
As you may have guessed, I'm not doing a hell of a lot today. At work yesterday I got given a few cards for today but it turns out not everyone was so eager as I expected to have a party over at my place. I wonder why that may be? Well, it was kind of them to think of me.
I was up until about 2am last night on the internet checking to see if the people over at the Ashes to Ashes forum which I signed up for last month had started a birthday thread for me. (I am quite a prolific new member round there.) But they haven't and I doubt they will. I actually nearly got banned there for responding to a user in German. Wie unerhort!
I had a phone call from my parents earlier today wishing me a nice day. They asked me if they got the card they sent, which hasn't turned up yet, so I said no. They asked what I was up to, and so I told them my plans for later - me, myself and I will be going out for an Italian meal later. They seemed a bit disappointed that I should be seeing this out on my own, saying "You really have to find yourself a woman, 1981! You can't mean to spend your whole life like this!" My answer was, "The women here have standards, you know." My little sarcastic joke didn't quite go down so well as expected. They wished me a nice day anyway but I suspect my solitude eats them up more than it does me.
Okay, that's my birthday so far. I'd best try and get myself looking presentable for my meal tonight even if I'm not aiming to enjoy a little bit more than the food, if you know what I mean.
So thanks for the wishes. I'll see you again sometime, maybe even later.
