OK, so recovering_fan has decided to put me on ignore so that my forum posts will not be visible to him.

I'm sorry, but there are a couple of people here in these forums that I have very strongly disagreed with, Imperialists and Jerry McGuire, and I feel I have perfectly sound reasons.

I got pissed off at Imperialist because in my topic about how remote access web cams in school issued lap top computers were use for spying on students, and how some students were photographed while getting undressed in the privacy or their own bedrooms before taking a shower or going to bed, and Imperialist says that the state has a right to spy on people to protect society.

That is what got me pissed off at him!

Since when do we have to spy on children while undressing to protect society?

Every time I mention some of the things that Imperialist has said in the past, he has not responded directly to these issues, or to clarify his position.

In another topic I had said the following . . .

In the UK, parents have had their children taken way by the state just simply because the parents or the kids were obese.

In Japan, where Imperialist hails from, they want to regulate the size of a person's waistline so that anybody who's waist exceeds 34 inches will have to pay much higher prices for employee health care. In Japan I would be shit out of luck since I have a 64 inch waist.

And here in the good ol' USA, we have religious fanatics who want to regulate what is being taught in our high school history and science classes, wanting to remove Thomas Jefferson from the history textbooks and inserting Creationist fairy tales into the science textbooks.

So, we have idiots in high places wanting to regulate our bodies and our minds.

I am deeply resentful of those who want to regulate my life, people who know far less than I do about anything! I resent people who know less than I, and yet, they're making millions of dollars every year, while I'm living in poverty.

I believe that individual rights are more important than state's rights.

And how does Imperialist respond???

It seems Fat Man has been going on about my views... but hey, I expect individualists to have the above points anyway. (Mind you I don't mind, it is just that I don't like people who are so self-righteous about certain aspects of instant-gratification individualism which is what made the economy crash, and why people still believe in the American Dream that never was)

Notice, that Imperialist did not respond to the issue of parents in the UK having their kids taken away from them if the parents or the kids were over-weight, or about employees in Japan having to pay higher employee health care cost if their waistlines exceed 34 inches.

Nor does he respond to my issues on the right to privacy!

So, I guess I'm a bully because I believe in individual rights as opposed to Imperialist's beliefs in states rights!

And now, on to Jerry McGuire who in another topic believes that I was not entitled to any compensation when I received a lousy little $250 dollars in chump change after some moron slashed my right leg with a sharp blade, saying that I was just trying to get on the gravy train.

Oh! But low-grade morons with single-digit IQs are entitled to millions of dollars just for chasing footballs and getting free Hummers after raping somebody's daughter!!!

But I guess, that again, I'm a bully because I believed that I was entitled to that $250 dollar compensation check after some drooling moron slashed my leg with a blade causing my leg to bleed all over the floor, and then, my having to go into Emergency for a tetanus shot.

I could have very easily developed a very bad infection, because, El Paso being a redneck town, there is no telling where that blade might have been before it slashed my leg. For all I know, he might have been using it at home to butcher a big in his barn, then dropped the blade in some pig shit, and wiped if off on his pants cuff.

Well, you know what???

When you agree with him on anything, and when you coddle him, it encourages him in his hate. I did that a long time myself. I'm sorry to say that for a long time I made many sympathetic remarks towards him. That strategy does not work with him. Referring to Republicans as ... you know what, is unacceptable. It is slanderous, and we need to stand up to that kind of obnoxious behaviour.

I'm personally beginning to get annoyed as well, because whenever I state I agree with you on an issue, I get accused of "coddling" you by recovering_fan. I don't agree with you that The Imperialist is stupid, but I definitely do agree with your assertions on people like hawkeye10. You might remember that it was me who brought his condoning of abuse to the attention of the whole forum (having been advised on it by a certain other good friend of mine on this forum first). If recovering_fan wishes to defend Jerry McGuire, The Imperialist and even wibberley, I can understand that and even agree with him to some extent, but his defence of hawkeye10 pushed it for me. Maybe we should direct him to my "Goon Supporting Bullying!" thread. I was very much annoyed that evening when I read that moron's posts; how he regards bullying as a benefit to young people's development. Young people should not be excessively protected to the extent where they've got no choices or responsibilities of their own, but in times of dire need it is good to have people to turn to for guidance and support, and hawkeye10 would deny people that? Absolutely contemptible.

Hawkeye10 seems to have an unfortunate tendency of taking a legitimate point and carrying it to an extreme. His comment that sexual child abuse is "almost a blessing" is horribly ludicrous. I speak as someone whose best friend was married to an incest victim. What happened to her when she was a very young girl at the hands of her maternal grandfather was absolutely horrible and should have been punished with the harshest penalty provided by the law, and then some! I agree with you completely, i_like_1981. A school should be a place to learn, not a battle ground. We're talking about children, for crying out loud.

I do not regard these later remarks of yours, which are critical of me, to be an example of you coddling Fat Man. Not in the least!

You should know that I don't give a damn about Hawkeye, and if I have ever "defended" him it was for the purpose of making some kind of point of my own. I can't stand his opinions on things !

Hawkeye goes way too far, and he has some absurd views on certain other issues--like rape. I disagree with more than 90% of what that man says. I mainly brought Hawkeye up as another example of Fat Man's failure to let go of his rage. People at a2k probably find Hawkeye's opinions so laughable that they aren't sure whether his is sincere or a joking half the time ! (Most recently he criticised a beautiful ballerina for being overweight !)

However, the fact that people here have allowed Fat Man to rant and abuse people for so long does seem to me to provide evidence, as Hawkeye would (I am sure) be quick to point out, that we have learned no skills in dealing with abuse.

I have said before that I thought you were flame-baiting. I see no reason to belabour the point, and if any one wants to see what you're talking about then he or she can go to the "pop-music sucks" thread, which is where you tell that joke twice, and where I later explain to i_like_1981 why it offended me. But I will also add that part of what bothered me was, whenever I said something nice to wibberley, you would cheapen my sentiment by taking some kind of cruel shot at him. When I try to help another person and some ass-hole undermines my efforts, I take it personally, and I think I am quite justified in doing so.

I have always resented people trying to control what I read, ever since I was in the 5th grade and my teacher bashed my head against the corner of a brick wall in an argument over an astronomy book that he refused to let me check out from the library.

For years after that, I had head aches and dizzy spells due to a concision. During my teenage years the headaches became less intense and when I was in my 20s I didn't have the headaches and dizzy spells anymore.

But every time I hear about right-wing Christards wanting to censor and control what we read, I feel like I'm getting my head bashed against the wall again.

Yeah! I get flash-backs when something triggers off an unpleasant memory.

Ever hear of PTSD or Post Traumatic Disorder? Well in recent years I have been diagnosed with having PTSD because of the years of violence and abuse.
