Creation Astronomy Propaganda - CrAP Debunked!

WARNING!

THESE VIDEOS CONTAIN TRACES OF SEVERE STUPIDITY
AND FREQUENT SCENES OF GRAPHIC OWNAGE!

VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED!

The following YouTube videos have been created by the one who goes by the user name of AndromedasWake which are all about the science of Astronomy, and the controversy between science and creationism, and why these creationists with their moronic assertions are all doomed to failure!

In these videos, you will get to meet some well known creationists, and watch as each and every one of them gets his bitch-ass served up on a platter by some of our greatest scientists.

These right-wing religious whack-jobs, who you will meet in the following videos, are all about to get owned!

Please do watch all the following YouTube videos, and enjoy!

The pilot episode of 'CrAP Debunked'. If you liked this video, please help to spread it. Various images/videos produced by ESA/NASA/ESO.

Errata:
1. The phrase "Infinite volume hypothesis" is incorrect here. I meant to say either "Infinite density hypothesis" or "Zero volume hypothesis" (each implies the other).
2. Typo. The proton is in fact around one TRILLION times smaller than a full stop, not one billion.
3. Typo. This should of course read "..YouTube account". Thanks to Agnostic1 for making me aware of that!

Kent Hovind says he taught high school for 15 years. He would have made a far better football coach than a teacher because he doesn't know jack-shit about science.

He obviously couldn't do his math either, which probably accounts for why he is serving 10 years in prison for tax fraud. He must have been using Creationist Math to do his taxes, you know, like, if he believes that the earth is only 6000 years old, and he calculated that he only owed one penny in taxes.

Yeah, that Creationist Math will get ya into a heap o' trouble every time!!! Uh huh!!!

In this episode, we'll look at a couple of bogus attempts to undermine science related to Lunar and Solar astrophysics.

I apologize for the somewhat erratic sound/volume in this video. I did not record it all in one go, and I have no idea what I'm doing in iMovie. The next one will be better.

To those who were referred to me by DonExodus2, thank you for checking out my videos and I hope you'll like what you see enough to subscribe.
To DonExodus2 himself, thank you very much indeed for your support.

Various multimedia in this video was created by NASA/ESA/JAXA/ESO/Berkley/Exeter

Errata:
1. I apologize, this is just completely wrong. It was thought up until 1965 that Mercury was tidally locked to the Sun, but was proven to have 3:2 spin orbit resonance. That

means for every 2 years on Mercury, there are 3 days. One Mercurian year is about 88 Terran days and one Mercurian day about 59 Terran days. I think I was once told that

Mercury *was* thought to be tidally locked with the Sun, and confused that to mean it was the current consensus. Again, sorry!

In this video, we look at some outright lies and general creationist assbaggery about Venus, straight from the mouth of the good preacher, Spike Psarris.

Dr. James Kasting's website, with plenty of great research to read, can be found here: http://www.geosc.psu.edu/~kasting/Perso ... asting.htm
Specifically, the paper of direct interest can be downloaded here:
http://www.geosc.psu.edu/~kasting/Perso ... rus_88.pdf
If you don't mind following a little atmospheric science, it's a highly recommended read.

*About Venus' collision:
Of course, we cannot directly observe events in the Solar System which happened millions of millenia ago. Current theory is a product of indirect evidence (such as the

retrograde motion or high axial tilt - depending on how you look at it) combined with models for planet formation. It's harder to reconcile Venus with biblical creation though,

because your conclusion will be in the region of the creator deliberately attempting to confuse its creation, and stifle their academic progress; hardly a loving act. Studying

the atmospheric composition of Venus further will shed some light on its ancient history. I would suggest the greatest puzzles with Venus are its highly circular orbit (also a

property of fellow freak planet, Uranus) and the fact that it has no moons (which are thought to be products of catastrophic collisions). The planet may well have formed as

the result of two large objects actually 'sticking' together. I myself, and the scientific community have no intention of hiding these questions from the public. But I ask that

you remember that a gap in our knowledge about something, particularly with no direct evidence, in no way validates jumping to wild conclusions. Future generations will be

laughing at people like Spike even harder than we are now.

If you're interested in seeing some great videos about inconsistencies with the bible, please check out the series entitled 'An Honest Search for the Truth' by holysinecure:

They were kind enough to give me a shout out recently and I'd like to return the favour (but recorded this video before I saw theirs - d'oh!)

* About T-Tauri Wind

Current theory dictates that newly forming stars (F, G, K & M stars under 2 Solar masses) are temporarily classified as T-Tauri stars during a phase before they enter the

main sequence. The first star identified to be at this stage was T-Tauri, hence the name. During the T-Tauri stage, stars are extremely active and variable, but do not

undergo nuclear reactions in their cores until they enter the main sequence. They are driven by gravitational collapse (the K-H contraction mechanism). The winds generated

by T-Tauri stars are theorised to be strong enough to stimulate production of warm water vapour in the nebulae around them.

Seriously, Red Planet was just awful.

A few clarifications: Liquid water on the surface of Mars is an issue, because the low atmospheric pressure allows it to boil away within a few hours. The features at Cydonia

Mensae are absolutely *NOT* artificial. They are perfectly consistent with well documented geological processes. The smiley crater is called Galle crater (named for J.G.

Galle.) Yes, I'm aware of the controversy over whether or not water or dry landslides are responsible for Martian gullies - the point I'm making is that in attempting to study

these features, scientists have produced numerical models proving that liquid water could have been involved (and is not impossible, as Spike stated.) Mars lost its magnetic

field because a Giant, Magnetic Field-Eating Space Duck popped by for a snack in May, 1337. The inhabitants at the time were single-celled, and thus hadn't really

developed the necessary military strategy to combat gargantuan space-faring birds.

In response to a couple more questions: The "Great Galactic Ghoul" is a NASA in-joke dreamt up to explain why so many Mars missions fail. I couldn't balance water on

mars bars; I had to photoshop it because water is impossible on mars.

I jest. The picture was actually released as NASA's astronomy picture of the day in 2005 (on April 1st, of course.)

****************************************
The Barrow-Tippler Fallacy (also False Lottery) is the assessment of probability (after the fact of a determined outcome) for which the sample size is one. It is named for

John Barrow and Frank Tipler, co-authors of The Anthropic Cosmological Principle, in which they argue that the precise conditions of the Universe (characterized by

apparently fundamental parameters such as physical constants) are highly improbable and indicative of the Weak Anthropic Principle (WAP).

A false lottery is the opposite of a true lottery, where the number of outcomes is known. For example, the probability of rolling a double-six on a pair of dice can be

meaningfully assessed, because all six sides of both dice present real, possible outcomes. By contrast, there is no evidence that an electron or proton with a different mass

is a real, possible outcome during the earliest moments of the Universe. Furthermore, there is no evidence one way or the other that these supposedly "finely tuned" values

were determined at any given time, or whether they are derived from an as yet unfathomable structure.

Use of this fallacy to construct Fine Tuning Arguments is popular among apologists for special creation.

The next two videos, Andrew Inns from redsky in the UK, a geocentrist, introduces us to a Malcolm Bowden a Christian Fundamentalist, who is also a geocentrist.

Yeah! That's right! These two idiots actually believe that the earth is the center of the universe, and that the sun and all the planets, and even the entire cosmos revolve around the earth! I kid you not! I'm surprised that they also don't think the earth is flat!

Now, most Christian Fundamentalist here in the USA don't go quit that far. They generally accept the fact that the earth does rotate and that it does revolve around the sun. It's just that they don't accept evolution, or the earth being over 4 billion years old, and they still insist that the earth and all the universe is only 6000 years old. But at least they acknowledge that the earth moves.

But these two whack-jobs, Andrew Inns and Malcolm Bowden presently residing in the UK, now these two moronic retards, they're even funnier than the Funny-mentalists we have here in the USA.

Oh! Please do watch the last two videos, as AndromedasWake serves their bitch asses up on a platter, and goes on to make Malcolm Bowden his bitch!

Enjoy!!!

Hello Fat Man!

At the "Church of Christ" I was a member of in my early 20's, the preacher would talk about Galileo's persecution and said that if his church had been around in Galileo's time, they would not have persecuted him and would've accepted his views as correct (yeah, right!) But...the Church of Christ preacher criticized Darwin and and the theory of evolution to no end. They even had a "Creation Science Fair" one day where they had students from the church's elementary school do projects on why creationism was correct and evolution was wrong. When promoting the fair, it was promised there would be "strong scientific evidence" for creationism presented. Being in the inquiring mind I was and am  , I was pretty enthusiastic about seeing this evidence.

What a downer I was in for! Fat Man, remember how you talked about your science teacher who was also the football coach, and all he did was show cartoons to the class? Well, that's what the Creation Science Fair reminded me of! The "study guide" they gave out consisted of several pieces of paper stapled together, with drawings and printing that were at a five-year-old's level of understanding! At the end of the book, it listed how you could "accept Jesus into your heart." Yeah, all scientific papers are accompanied by a religious invitation -- such objectivity and credibility! What a joke. Needless to say, I left the "science fair" (if it could even be called such a thing) disappointed in my quest for any real information.

Anyway, I suspect that a hundred years from now, fundamentalist churches, weary of having been hung out to dry so many times by science, will be preaching that Darwin was correct and that they wouldn't have preached against him back in the late 20th/early 21st centuries, just like they claim post hoc to accept Galileo now!

Ah yes indeed!

Nothing like presenting a debate on a "scientific" hypotheses, using cut-outs made from colored construction paper and childish crayon drawings.

Yeah, that ought to make in past peer review with flying colors in the scientific community! Uh huh!

OK, even smart people make occasional mistakes.

In the 4th video, when AndromedasWake talks about the temperature of Venus, well, here's a screen shot from his 4th video.

Image

WHOOPS!!!

Yeah, those things do happen.

But when intelligent people make a mistake, it's usually unintentional or accidental.

But these moronic Christards are in error because they are deliberate lying sacks of shit!
