Yes, The NBA is having a hard time with the bad economy...sure. But is it going to leave? NO. It will not, they will NOT let it leave, trust me.

^You do realize that the NBA doesn't make their profits on only attendance....Not at all. Sponsors, merchandise sells and all of that really earn profit. Also, you do know right that two of those link were talking about Highschool Basketball and that ONE links about the NBA is 10 years old?

I don't really know anything about how the basketball "industry" makes a profit. All I know is that interest in watching other people play basketball is declining everywhere. I don't know anyone who likes basketball.

^You apparently don't live in the US....Basketball has to be one of the most recognized sports here...March is freaking nuts.

Edit: Dude your from Georgia, of course basketball sucks down there. It's Giorgia. Here in Kentucky we sell out a 25,000 plus arena for every home game for UK....Basketball is NOT declining. It's hard to sell out 40,000 plus arenas 85 times a year.

How does any comment made in this forum affect you personally? Someone who was secure in himself would just shrug it off and say, "Oh, well. To each his own." Whatever happened to the "Live and let live" philosophy? Ever hear of freedom of speech? Who invited you to this website? Did anyone force you to come here? If you are offended by views expressed at this website, why don't you just go visit a sports website instead, of which there are many to choose from? There are websites such as those for racists and anti-Semites and the American Civil Liberties Union which represent viewpoints that I find to be repugnant, but I don't waste my time visiting them. Why do you waste your time visiting this website? If you were civil like Polite24 and SportsGuy92, I wouldn't be so pointed in my comments to you.
When I left the computer to go take a late lunch break, I had misgivings about this recent post of mine. I think I may have overreacted. In fact, I was going to delete it; but when I saw all the posts that followed it, I realized that I was too late. But the questions I raised are still valid.

Oh, by the way, welcome to the forum, rcfreak339 (I think). And I'm not commenting on this latest thread, except to say that I don't wish that thousands of people would lose their jobs.

Are you fucking kidding me? Something you can almost completely avoid if you choose to going under would be worth it even if it meant thousands of people lost their jobs and our economy got even worse?

First off, that is one of the single most selfish things I ever heard, and sports fans are supposed to have bad character? Secondly, you are absolutely clueless if you think the NBA is going under. Attendance is down because of the recession in the economy. People don't have the money to shell out to go to games.

And you don't know anyone who likes basketball because you don't associate yourself with thoses types of people I'm willing to bet.

I don't have a lot of money. Toward the end of each month I'm so broke I can't even afford to pay attention!

But I can go to my public library and check out books for free, and I can listen to music videos on my computer.

Listen to this JIMBO!!!
