Speak for yourself
Hey! Hey! Hey! Ya see! Ya see, Polite24?

Even Craig Storm agrees when he says "speak for yourself!" Ya see that???

That may be why he said education is the opiate of the masses.

But it's not education in and of itself that's the opiate.

But rather, those incompetent teachers and the athletic coaches who are the Mind Opium dealers.

So maybe, just maybe, Craig Storm is not a complete idiot.

A partial idiot perhaps, but not a complete idiot.

All or nothin' for me, thanks. I said speak for yourself so as to not be included among the educated. You may be well educated, but I ain't. :?

OK! OK!

So, it's all or nothing for you.

Then, you're not a partial idiot.

You're a complete idiot, who has reached absolute total moronic perfection!

There! Now do you feel better??? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I can tell by your smily faces that these are good intentioned jabs. And those are my kind of jabs. Jab away! :D

You seem like someone who likes a probing, thought provoking thesis on the relationship between sports and art. If so, check out my blog.

Otherwise, as the topic says, I'm yours. What are we doing here? Probably I came off originally as a fervent sports fan, which may or may not have been refuted. You seem to have wanted to straighten me out or enlighten me. Just want you to know I'm listening... :D

Hey, I don't believe that an education is everything. My dad was highly educated, but as a university professor he once said that he knew a lot of Ph.D.'s who didn't have enough sense to come in out of the rain.

Well, many highly intelligent people have had their odd quirks and eccentricities.

Albert Einstein never wore socks inside his shoes and never wore underwear and he dressed like a slob most of the time in baggy loose fitting clothing and he never combed his hair.

Nikola Tesla went kind of nuts in his old age. He lived on the 33rd floor of the Hotel New Yorker and his room number was 3327, a number divisible by 3. He became obsessed with the number 3. He suffered from what we know today as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder OCD. When he came home, as he approached the hotel building, he felt compelled to walk 3 times around the block before entering the building. He demanded a stack of three folded cloth napkins beside his plate at every meal and the number of peas on his plate had to be a number dividable 3, everything had to be in threes.

Some of the best and brightest people had suffered from some kind of mental illness, but they did contribute much to society.

I could go on and on with many examples, but I find it rather depressing especially since I have to deal with my own mental health issues.

When I was a kid, I liked going out into the cold winter nights with my telescope, sitting on a folding chair, looking through my telescope for hours in 20 below zero temperatures. I once spent three hours watching a lunar eclipse, or looking at a comet, or the Orion constellation. The winter constellations are my favorite.

I guess I didn't have the sense to come in out of the cold.

But of course, being fat helped to protect me from the cold anyway.

Nickola Tesla was the greatest inventor in all of history, even greater than Thomas Edison.

Yes, he was quite eccentric and had a lot of strange ideas, but if it wasn't for him, we would have very little. Thomas Edison advocated wiring our cities and homes with DC Direct Current, but Nikola Tesla advocated AC Alternating Current which is much more efficient.

If we were using DC, we would need a power station for every square block, and only the rich would have electricity and the rest of us would still be using oil lamps. But thanks to Nikola Tesla winning his battle against Thomas Edison, we are using AC.

Despite his mental illness he accomplished much, and yet, he died in poverty, living alone in his room in the Hotel New Yorker.

Here is a link to a You Tube Video

Tribute to Nikola Tesla

And here is another You Tube Video, a song about Nikola Tesla.

The Handsome Family - Tesla's Hotel Room

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqrCd-MsXGw

And here are the lyrics to the song about Nikola Tesla

Tesla's Hotel Room

In the last days of wonder
When spirits still flew
where we sat holding hands
In half-darkened rooms

Nicola Tesla
In the Hotel New Yorker
nursing sick pigeons
by the open window

dreamed of a death ray
To disintegrate matter
detected Morse code
From faraway planets

he couldnâ??t stand the touch
of hair or of skin
but stroked feathers gently
on trembling wings

and drew plans for a camera
To photograph thoughts
Vacuum tube lights
Wireless phones

In the last days of wonder
When spirits still flew
Round bubbling test tubes
In half-darkened rooms

Edison and Westinghouse
in silk brocade
ate oysters Rockefeller
with French champagne

But Tesla grew thin
eating only Saltines
going days in his lab
Without any sleep

dreaming of God
as an X-ray beam
he was hit by a cab
while crossing the street

lying on his bedspread
he struggled to breathe
the light bulbs exploded
the air filled with wings

In the last days of wonder
When spirits still flew
Tesla vacated
his half-darkened room

He was the greatest inventor of them all, yet he died living alone in poverty.

While drooling moronic monkey-boys make millions just playing football.

This world sucks!!!

YES!

Like, BINGO!!!

You go to the head of the class! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

He believed that electricity should be FREE for everyone. He reasoned the it was a force of nature, just as the air is free, electricity should be free.

Oh, by the way, one of his experiments he had been working on back in December 1899 accidentally burned out a dynamo at the El Paso Electric Company, and he was required to fix it himself, which he did.

Apparently El Paso Electric must have been producing DC power at the time. A dynamo produces DC current while a generator or alternator produces AC current.

I imagine if El Paso had been using generators to produce AC power, then the blackout would not have happened. Generators that produce AC current can take a greater load than a DC dynamo.

This of course was back in 1899 so some years later, El Paso Electric switched over to producing AC power like everybody else.

So, you go to the head of the class. Dunce cap removed. :D :D :D :D :D

Here is a rock song that is a tribute to Albert Einstein on You Tube.

The Einstein Song With Video

And here is another one, a rock song about Sir Isaac Newton on You Tube.

You're All Right, Isaac Newton

Yeah!

Isaac Newton was a total bad ass!
He invented calculus!

I wish I could get the whole lyrics to the song.

I like math.

I love doing geometry and trigonometry. It's fun.

But I never had the chance to learn calculus. I wish I did.

I hope you enjoyed the You Tube links I put up for those songs about Nikola Tesla, Einstein, and Isaac Newton.

When it came to science and math, and clever inventions, those guys really kicked ass.

I love Astronomy because exploring the universe is so ass-kicking cool!!!

Football players just like to wallow around in the mud like pigs, and they're not even as smart as pigs.

I say, humans were meant to explore the cosmos, NOT wallowing in the mud with the pigs!

I'm unemployed and living on a disability check.

I mentioned before that I have mental health issues that I need to deal with. I have a therapist, and have been recently diagnosed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, which was brought on by many years of abuse.

Back in 1969, when I was 17 years old, I was once beaten and raped by an older man. It was when I spent three week in a psychiatric ward, and the ward attendants enjoyed beating up on the patients there, and one night I was raped.

When I cam home, I was badly in need of some kind of psychological counseling, but none was forthcoming, because back then, nobody believe that a guy could get raped. They would just prescribe tranquilizers and send me home. Nobody wanted to listen to what I had to say.

It was many years before I found a therapist that would listen to what I had to say.

I have the morally corrupt educational system, that cared more about athletics than academics, to thank for all that had happened to me.

I was never able to hold onto a job, so I had to go on disability just to stay alive, and it isn't much. What I get is mere chump change, while some monkey-boy gets paid millions of dollars just to chase balls, and he can rape our sisters and daughters and go unpunished, and gets a new car for free, and he can park his $100,000 Hummer in a 15 minute parking zone all day long, and never has to worry about getting a ticket or his vehicle towed away.

This world really sucks!
