OMG, RAP?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!??!!??! That is without a doubt the shittiest music ever. It's just some wannabe gangster going on about drugs, shootings and WHUPPIN SUM BITCHEZZZ!! Not even like it has any decent tunes or the lead vocalist can even SING for that matter! It's just crap; full of talentless morons.
As for good old 70's and 80's music... my opinion on that is somewhat more favourable! Not like showoffs and sports bores listen to anything decent anyway. Just a bunch of bloody sheep only wanting to be "in" and "trendy" by listening to whatever crap has just been released. No taste or individuality.
Typical herd mentality that all them lot follow.
(Being from Glasgow, I don't tend to use the word "jock"!)

lol you guys know nothing about rap
don't judge the genre based on what you hear on the radio
If you think rap as a whole is truly worthless and there's nothing of substance then your wrong, and ignorant.
Even with genre's I don't like I recognize they do take some type of talent and aren't worthless. Maybe besides screamo.

Well I'm sorry, but what I hear of it is shit. All sounds the same.
There might be a rap song out there that I'd like but I'm still waiting to hear it!...
And let's face facts here, some of the classics from 20-30 years ago are just not gonna be equalled.

how old are you? Just wondering...
and if you're looking for a deeper meaning in rap songs...
Some of Eminems stuff...Tupac, Nas, bone thugs, are all good examples.

Just goes to show how diverse the tastes of us sports-haters are. Some like rap, some like classic rock, some like techno-house, some like jazz, and so on and so on.
Isn't it great how a group of people who probably have nothing else in common get along so well when we all agree that sports suck?

Rap "music" is not music. It is elementary school style rhyming combined with street corner hooliganism. The perfect music for sports fans.

The music that I listen to is video game music, the James Bond songs and radio 1.

I think some of the James Bond songs are classics! The main theme tune is known by everyone. That is decent music!
Rap, on the other hand... generally some fat, jewellery-covered criminal droning on about violence, drugs and the like for a few minutes. Not exactly what I call "music"!

Nosey guy!
But then again, perhaps you're right... perhaps rap ain't ideal music for people my age. In that case, I shouldn't moan at it.

What are you talking about? Screamo takes a hell of alot of talent. It took me a couple of months to learn how to screamo scream. And if you don't do a screamo scream right then you can damage your lungs or throat.

I really don't care. It sounds terrible.

Rap sounds worse. Are you kidding me?
It takes no talent to make up the half-ass rhymes those ghetto wanna-be's throw at us. More like a sledge hammer to the ears.

^ Exactly, I like rap but I will also admit it doesn't take alot of talent. Anyway at least it takes time for a person to learn how to screamo scream.

Now I can stand screamo because it's supposed to be earsplittingly loud, but when some ghetto wanna-be just passes your house in the middle of the night blaring that god forsaken music ["boomers" my grandfather-in-law calls them], then you're going to be pissed and grouchy in the morning. Trust me, that has happened all times too many for me.
