Glad I agree with you on that....AOL just completely sucks, I have Firefox but rarely ever use it. Chrome is about the browser Iv'e ever used. Plus HTML doesn't look any different on it. So try Chrome, it is a great browser, very fast. Firefox and IE try to overload and that just makes it slow.Fat Man wrote:OK. I see what the problem is.
I'm using the Mozilla Firefox browser which is really cool.
My friend here in El Paso, whom I was talking with on the phone, he uses the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser.
I also have the Microsoft browser, but I never use it.
But tonight I did, and my web page looked pretty well messed up. In some places the fonts were way too big, and some places, way too small and the background music was way too loud.
So, I went back in, and re-edited the HTML, so that my web page would look the same in both the Mozilla Firefox AND the Microsoft browsers.
But I can't do jack-shit about the volume settings on the background music. Not if you're using the Microsoft browser.
The volume setting works just fine when I'm using my Mozilla Firefox browser, but no matter how I change the volume settings, there is no change in the music volume when using the Microsoft browser.
So, those who are using the Microsoft browser, you'll have to manually turn down the volume on your speakers.
I'm really sorry about that.
Then I used my Yahoo browser, and still, there was no change in the volume of the back ground music.
But the web page looked almost the same as it dose in both the Mozilla Firefox and the Microsoft browser, except the fonts appeared larger, and the back ground music was louder.
The Yahoo browser sucks even worse then the Microsoft browser.
Now for those who are still dumb-ass enough to use the AOL browser . . . well . . . . .
FUCKING FORGET IT!!!
If you're still using the AO-HELL browser, you'll need to go get yourself a length of rope and a kick-stool.
Or perhaps you prefer sleeping pills and some hard liquor.
A gun is much quicker!
Or just switch over from AOL to something else, like, Mozilla Firefox, and LIVE!!!
Anyway . . . . .
When it come to Mozilla Firefox vs Microsoft . . . . . . .
FIREFOX KICKS ASS!!!
I rest my case!
NEXT!!!

I pretty much stick to any of the browsers emulated on this site: http://www.dejavu.org/ . Life's fast enough. I like my internet to be slow.rcfreak339 wrote: Glad I agree with you on that....AOL just completely sucks, I have Firefox but rarely ever use it. Chrome is about the browser Iv'e ever used. Re: My Brand New Web Site! - THE FAT MAN'S EMPORIUM
Nice website Fat Man.
I too would like to know how to make a website like that.
I would put plenty of awesome stuff about 1981 on there and use Java Script to make the date always remain on 1981 no matter how many years went by.
I would of course send you all the link so you could look at my website at your leisure, if you were extremely 80's obsessed like me, naturally.
But it would take time. A lot of time. I am normally more busy concentrating on other things on the internet - for example, posting here.
I've tried making web pages before but have lost interest and forgotten about them as I have not been able to format them in the way I wanted.
However, I would like to know how to make it just one huge block of text like that - simple looking yet very informative.
So I shall be back shortly to hear about any help you may have for me. And when I have finished my website, I shall of course share the link with you all. I don't like to leave you lot out of things. It just isn't fair.
Best regards,
i_like_1981
