Whoa, what the hell's been going on here? Well, I'm now 100% convinced wibberley is a troll. Now we're getting someone defending him on our site who claims to be his daughter? Despite the fact he's been telling us all along that he's been rejected by every girl he spoke to, he lives on his own and deliberately shuns his peers? This guy is full of shit. Wibberley has now gone from being lonely to having a small army to defend him on this website... or so he would want us to believe. I'm just about fully sure that Slippers, wibberley2c and the original wibberley are all the same guy just trying to cause up a stir on this board in retaliation for his ban. He's just lost all credibility now as far as I'm concerned. I might have believed wibberley2c, but this Slippers character is most definitely a load of crap. I've now had enough of this guy. He's been wasting our time for nearly a year now. Ever since he signed up he's been feeding us crap which would probably inevitably lead to this. It's time to get rid of him and his alter-egos. I doubt he's even into old music or piano playing at all. He's probably just pretended to be into them to seem like someone with different interests whom this board would appreciated and tried to use his interests in them to justify his extreme comments - yes, because having some classy hobbies gives you a right to wish death upon everyone in the world, doesn't it?

I'm sad for every member of this board, including myself, who was tricked into wishing this guy well, paying an interest in hobbies he probably doesn't even have and being decent to him in spite of all his extreme, unjustified comments that really had no value in a discussion whatsoever. I feel like a complete arse for having wasted my time being friendly to this guy, and I feel bad for our relatively new member, recovering_fan, who was tricked into actually feeling sorry for someone who is, most likely, a troll. To tell the truth, I was always suspicious of his short yet shocking posts right from the start; how he'd keep starting new threads with every post and then resorted to posting nowhere but in this thread. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt for many months, and look where it's gone. I doubt he really knows anything about the 1920s. Probably looked up all the facts on the internet and applied this knowledge to his forum posts to trick us into thinking he's some old times expert. Well, a fine line has been crossed with me now. If ever anyone else comes on this board pleading his case, I'll know it's bullshit. I agree, Fat Man, that this thread should be locked. Wibberley never could run a decent discussion and he's just wasting our time now. It's time for him to go. For good.

I must say that this exchange between wibberley (or is it fibberley?) and the rest of us has provided nearly as many laffs as mike_the_pain_train did earlier this year. I know that you all find this wibberley situation hilarious, and to be honest, I do find the way in which he reacted to his ban amusing, by creating false accounts who were apparently his friends coming onto this website to defend him (who strangely had nothing to say about his extremist, unreasonable statements and his sudden turning on all the members of the site for no apparent reason). But at the same time, I'm pretty pissed off at how I've spent months believing this guy, enjoying the chats about old music, and actually trying to defend him when other members confronted him regarding his extreme comments. I've once again been fed a load of crap by someone who was probably fucking laughing at my responses to him, and all along I believed I was talking to someone on a very similar page to me. I'm sorry, but if crap like this keeps happening, people coming on here taking the piss and adopting false personas to gain the affection of the members here, I'm going to consider leaving these forums. I sure appreciated the chats I had with this so-called "fan of the old times" and now it becomes clear I've been lied to all this time. At least Nick didn't stick around for that long. At least Nick's posts had decent grammar. At least Nick made sense in his arguments, unlike this wibberley who's been posting crap the moment since he signed on to these forums. And yes, I am defending Nick here. I don't think he was half as bad as wibberley. At least there is a chance he might have been honest, unlike wibberley who quite clearly was making up all the crap he said to appeal more to the members of this forum. A line has been crossed now, as far as I'm concerned.

Fat Man speaks for me as well, i_like_1981. (Please be sure to read his post above.) I understand how you feel. He had me fooled, too. I was actually feeling sorry for him. I thought he had no social skills at all, but I didn't know what to say to him. Please don't get discouraged. You do have real friends at this website, including me and Fat Man. The other members of this forum are being honest to you.

I don't find the Wibberley situation hilarious at all. I do feel sorry for him. I did my best not laugh at other people's barbs early on. (And I feel even more sorry for Nick, who was only 14.) However, when someone starts creating multiple accounts for the sole purpose of spamming us, then the way I see it is that we need to defend ourselves.

And when someone, like Fat Man for instance, instead resorting to vitriol and obscenities, says something witty and clever like he did, I think he should be encouraged.
