And to you, NFL players contribute absolutely nothing. However, even all the charity work aside(which they do a lot of), they contribute a lot of great memories for football fans and can make people happy.
Yeah, monkey boy players making monkey boy watchers like you happy, great contribution to the world, the watchers should disappear too. Get the stupid assholes out of the way of the thinkers and it will be a much better world. By the way, the thinkers made the world you monkeys play in. Think about that the next time you e-mail or drive or drool while you watch the monkeys on the field on your big screen. DRONE! Sorry Earl but this fool pisses me off and he breathing my air!

I don't understand why you're getting so mad. All I said was that athletes make sports fans happy, and can have a real contribution. There are numerous examples of a sports team lifting a city and making them forget about whatever problems were going on at that time. Did non-sports fans care? Probably not, but sports fans are people too, and they deserve to like whatever makes them happy.

I get angry because the vast majority of sports fans expect EVERYBODY to enjoy watching sports.I've seen happy sports fans turn over cars and start fires and loot after a college game. These students were let off with a warning, they should have been arrested and kicked out of school, but no, you can't do that to loyal fans. This may be a non-typical event but the fervor is there. Sports causes more harm than good in the long run. Education is always a lower priority, that is why I get angry. You cannot see this and I don't expect you too.

"Sports causes more harm than good in the long run"
I strongly disagree.

Simple, the majority of sports players are thickheaded dumbasses. If they can barely play a game of ball properly I think video games are a lot harder!

Sports probably do as much harm as good. They may be good at bringing people together and creating a sense of pride in their fans but as we'd all know, that "pride" can get to their heads and then they start riots in the streets when a big game is on and each army of fans wants to prove itself superior to the other. Sport can be just as much about hate and violence as it can about loyalty and enjoyment.

You know, there's things called crowbars, right?
I get the giggles when I see your attempts to make a good argument in situations like these.

You can't bring a crowbar on to the ice or football field...
I don't see what point you're trying to make.

Who said crowbars magically disappeared when you walked into a football field?
Besides, head butting and rolling around in the mud with a bunch of other guys doesn't take much skill - just a barely functioning brain and muscles.

Considering there's zero headbutting in football, your post and blackdog's have no relevance.

Let's not even talk about all those football fans who headbutt each other like idiots.
