So, that's what happened to Captain America. I wondered why he never posted again at his own topic.

Another reason why I question mike_the_pain_train's claim that he is a professional boxer is because he just doesn't talk like an adult. He talks like a boy in junior high school. (And to think that I actually believed him at first. What a dummy I am! )

Actually, he could very well be a professional boxer! Or is that, bockser?

The way he spells like a moron indicates that he's punch drunk!

I think Mike may be an immature schoolboy. I dislike how he is ignorant of the English language, he could at least attempt to spell correctly.

There are kids who are that illiterate, of course. But I think that mike's misspelling (or at least some of it) may be deliberate. From the limited perspective of a 59-year-old man who hasn't been posting messages at websites for very long (only since February of this year), deliberate misspelling seems to be a fad. Those who do it seem to think that it makes them look cool. But it only makes them look silly.

Very right there Earl, they seem to think being stupid makes them look hard, when really, it's going to get them nowhere. Our friend Mike here obviously has something to hide and I don't believe a single word of his bullshit. Get him to come back. Let's see if he really has anything real to say. A belated welcome, Geno! I've just now had access to any PC because yesterday I and my wife had to make a 12-hour trip to Lubbock, Texas, with our younger daughter, who will be attending Texas Tech University there, beginning next week. I'm now using my older daughter's PC.

I think that mike_the_pain_train probably is a boy in junior-high school. I made a sincere effort to communicate with him, though. But he was entertaining.

We could possibly learn from each other if we would stop the name-calling and start listening to others who have had different experiences. Of course, most of the people on either side who post at website forums don't seem to be interested in doing that. Perhaps that's just what's to be expected at any forum.

I'm afraid there's not much we can do about spammers. As a moderator all I can do is just delete their posts.

Hi Earl, it is good to see you trying your hardest to level with the numerous sports fans who come on these boards. However there are bound to be some idiots who are going to reject any efforts to communicate properly and have a real discussion with them. That Joe Skinny, Harold from "Letters 2009" and Pain Train Mike are examples of people who you really shouldn't bother with - they're intolerant morons who should be shot, and they can't hold a proper discussion with you or accept any views other than their own. Some sports likers, such as the other Mike on the guestbook who posted comments in April, can be civil and it is those who you should make an effort with as they are prepared to act maturely and talk with you. You seem a nice guy who is tolerant towards all on this board, no matter what their views are. And I understand you can't help the spam situation but it is annoying and I really don't know how these jerk-offs think infiltrating our boards and posting junk is going to help them at all. I don't know why they bother. Anyways, I'm sure everyone on this board has their reasons for feeling the way they feel about sports and I think the sports fans who come on here, like Polite24, should try and understand why their sports are not liked by the members here as us people have really felt the negative side of sports and the culture and fans that go with it. They don't know how it feels to be branded a "loser" or a "nerd". They should not force their beliefs upon us lot as we have more than enough reason to dislike sports. Geno
