International I Hate Sports Club

Fat Man must have a stick up his ass or something because he continuously fails to form a rational response. It's especially funny because he has this air of superiority above others, thinking that he's smarter or more intelligent than everyone else. And this cannot be further from the truth. He has to be one of those most ridiculously stupid people I've ever seen post anywhere on the internet. And I've read youtube comments, so this is saying something.

Once people actually point out his logical fallacies and how little sense he makes, he just continues to spew out more and more bullshit. He cannot refute that fact that sports in themselves do not cause people to be assholes. Can cannot refute the fact that sports cause people to be happy and are a great way to relax and spend time. Hell, sports often bring people together as well. My ex girlfriend and I both initially became close over baseball. Although the relationship didn't work out in the end, I'm a firm believer of "It's better to have loved and lost then not loved at all". Plus we're still friends anyways.

Sports also provides jobs. It's a HUGE industry that extends way beyond the few thousand or so players in each sport. Think of all the administrative jobs in order to upkeep a multimillion dollar (maybe even billions) industry. Think of all the concession jobs, usher jobs, vendors, ticket takers, ect. in order to upkeep the stadium. Not to mention the construction workers who build the stadiums themselves. There are hundreds of thousands of job provided by professional sports of all levels. Seeing as the United States has such high unemployment, I see this as a VERY good thing for the economy. Additionally, think of all the tax revenue billions of dollars this brings in.

So, sports not only allow people to be happy and allow for leisure, but they are also excellent for the economy.

Now, I not Fat Shit is going to spew out more and more shit and completely ignore all the good points I brought up. And to be honest, I will find his pathetic demeanor amusing. However, I'm looking forward to having a rational discussion with the more sensible people on here, such as Earl.

Yeah! Sports do create some jobs. Somebody has to pick up the gum wrappers and the empty paper cups at minimum wage.

About a couple of years ago, I believe is was Greencom who mentioned, that in the Fort Worth and Dallas area in Texas, a residential area was displaced to make room for a new sports arena and a parking lot around the new arena. Oh yes, the people were offered money for their houses, but what they were paid was less than the initial cost of their houses, and some had improved their properties, so the value of their homes should have gone up. But NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!! They were paid less than the actual value of their homes, and it was not enough to cover the cost of moving into new homes. Many had to settle for renting smaller apartments instead after having lost their property.

And no! The residential area that was cleared was not a slum.

So, sports does not bring happiness to everyone. Sports actually destroys many lives. Not to mention the sports fans who get all pissed off when their favorite team loses the big game of the season, they riot in the streets, breaking shop windows, setting fires, overturning cars, and go about raping and pillaging. That's when they're pissed off because their team lost. But that's how they also celebrate because their team won.

Oh yes indeed! Sports does bring happiness into our lives. I just love it when my favorite TV programs get pre-empted for a sporting event!

Gee! Isn't sports wonderful!!!

And let's not forget education.

Many high schools have decided that it's too expensive to buy new lab equipment for their chemistry, physics, and biology labs, that it's much cheaper to put up new basketball hoops instead, and more new uniforms and helmets. Forget education! The kids who are physically handicapped and who aren't good at sports, well . . . we still don't need to educate them, they can get minimum wage jobs picking up gum wrappers and empty paper cups in the stadiums after the games are over, and we can import well educated nerds and techno-geeks from overseas to keep our lights on and the wheels turning. We save money that way.

No, we need sports to keep us entertained, we need to entertain all the rednecks sitting in their single-axle trailer homes swilling down that cheap Buckhorn beer and getting drunk on their asses! They all come home from church on a Sunday afternoon, tell their wives and kids to shut the fuck up because a game is on, and when their favorite team loses, they get all pissed off, beat the holy crap out of their wives and kids, rape their daughters, kick the cat and screw the pooch, and give the gold fish and parakeet cause for alarm!

Sorry, but sports is like a bomb that's been dropped on us, destroying civilization. It's a known fact, when civilizations are on the decline, they embrace more and more violent sports.
