I hate sports here is why

Well why don't you tell us how you know that "the majority" of people DO like sports? Where's YOUR proof?

If this is just a "minor" issue, and we're just making something out of nothing then why are you here defending sports? Who appointed you the official defender of organized sports?

Tell me exactly how you know most people don't like sports? You just say things with no facts or evidence to back it up.

It's honestly funny how you can feel this strongly about something so minor, and analyze these people as if you know them. It's quite comical how it bothers you this much that people watch and like sports.

How do I know most people aren't as infatuated with sports as you? From my own personal experience. How else would I know? As far as I know, there hasn't been a survey or study conducted on this topic so I don't have any figures to cite. Rest assured, if there were such a study, the results would show that the vast majority of us find sports about as interesting as TV commercials. Well, less than that actually.

You are positively nuts about something that you yourself declare to be "so minor". That is...weird. You obviously are not admitting how much sports mean to you. They are obviously NOT minor to you. Own personal experience? You mean the non sports fans you come in contact with? You truly have no idea what you're talking about. And vast majority? Then please explain this to me. The high TV ratings, as well as the still good attendance in all of the four major leagues despite the fact that the economy is in terrible shape. That's not even counting the 100 thousand seat college stadiums that are filled to capacity every weekend, which on top of that get huge ratings.Don't let facts get in the way though. Makes you mad that so many people love sports, doesn't it?

Sports are a big part of my life, as I hope my job involves it. That said, I do know there are more important things.

As far as this whole "minor" thing goes, you're taking it the wrong way. Minor meaning, people watching sports. Don't you have something else to get mad about, like the economy? There's got to be something else. Yet you are so passionate about something that really has no effect on you. You whine about something that you could easily just tune out if you had any mental toughness whatsoever. Sometimes, you guys describe it like it's some type of hardship, or suffering. Really? I hope you guys don't mean that literally, otherwise you have a lot of learning to do about suffering.

The counseling thing though, ha. Another personal attack. But I would think that counseling is better suited for a person who gets easily mad about something that no has no harmful effects on him.

I'm not a big sports fan and I'm definitely not a pro sports fan. I am a fan of letting other people do their thing in peace. What really struck me about this site was the determined sports fans relentlessly debating the regulars here.

Help me out, (It's been a looong time since high school) is this the modern version of bullies locking geeks in their locker, or do they somehow feel threatened by this gathering of obviously seditious radicals?

I don't like Oprah, baseball, or clowns, but I've never felt the need to debate their fans on their websites!
