Horrible comebacks? Really? Have you seen Fat Man's posts? They're poor attempts at humor.
Fat Man, message board or not, it's kind of sad when an 18 year old is trying his absolute hardest to have a respectful and decent conversation and all you can do is keep spouting off insults and personal attacks.

Nah! I think he's almost to the sucking his thumb while hugging his football stage.
Then they can only go down hill from there.
It's pathetic.

I'm still waiting to see that 99% percent of people in sports who are good people.
Oh wait! I know! They are invisible!
Just like an Invisible Empire that I know of! It's name starts with a "K" and there's three of them!

Why are you going on about something I didn't say?
I said 99 percent of sports fans don't worship sports. I never said 99 percent of sports fans were good people.
You see, unlike you, I don't pass judgement on people I don't know.

Sorry, but I can't take you seriously when just last week you were a sports fan.
Secondly, your lame attempt at calling me "monkey boy" as Fat Man does is hilarious. At least come up with your own stuff.

That's judgment, not judgement.
Well, I knew 10 sports fans during my life. Only one likes to watch a football game on Sunday afternoons, then when the game is over, he goes on to other far more important things, because he's got a family to take care of.
The other 9 sports fans that I knew, they also had families, but when there was a football game on TV, their families had to shut up. They would get drunk, and when their favorite team lost the big game of the season, they would beat the crap out of their wives and kids.
Needless to say, they were no friend of mine. I only knew them, and I wished that I hadn't. Of course, after a few phone calls to the proper authorities, they got to know the judge very well, and the warden, and the turn-keys, etc etc.
So, I knew 9 out of 10 who were scum!
Now, show me your 99% percent!
Oh wait! I just remembered! That was a number you pulled out of your ass!
I don't want to see that!!!
Put it back! Put is back! Put it back!

I know probably about 50-60 sports fans, maybe more. This is from being in high school.
Not a single one of them worships sports, or doesn't have a life outside of sports.

They don't have a life outside of sports?
Then their lives must be totally emerged in sports!
Gee! That sounds an awful lot like sports worship to me!

Well, I don't know.
You still need to clarify that one for me.
But it sounds to me like you and your football fan friends all seriously need to get a life!

OK
Polite24.
You're never going to convince me that 99% percent of all people in sports are good people, when in fact I know they are scum.
I have seen far too much evidence to the contrary. The bullying is still going on in our schools, and there are not enough good people in sports, either good sports fans, or good athletes, or good PE instructors or good coaches to renounce the bullying. That 1% percent of good people in sports will have a constant up-hill battle in their attempts at sports reforms.
It's like one person alone trying to clear away the debris of a massive train wreck with only a shovel and a single wheelbarrow! Like, good luck with that!!!
Hey
Polite24!!!
I know what else you can do with that mythical, mystical, magical 99% percent number.
Convert it from percentages to 99 bottle of beer.
Then set those 99 bottles of beer up on a shelf.
Then take each bottle down, one at a time, and drink from each bottle while singing the 99 bottles of beer song.
99 bottles of beer on the shelf
99 bottle of beer
I take one down and chug-a-lug
98 bottle of beer on the shelf
98 bottle of beer on the shelf
98 bottles of beer
etc. etc. etc. etc.
I challenge you to finish all 99 bottles, but I know you won't make it.
So I guess, you can just pass out and shut the fuck up!

Polite 24 can't convince anyone that 99% of people involved with sports are good people because they aren't! Pretty much if you don't like sports the dumb jocks will just make fun of you. Here is an example: one day my brother (jboy 590 as he is known on these forums) was asked by someone on our schools track team if he could donate like 5 bucks to the team. Then my brother told the girl on the track team that he wasn't going to donate anything to the track team because sports are useless. Then the girl pulled his hair for about 5 or ten seconds before the teacher told her to stop pulling my brother's hair. These sports people are just animals!

Right on! I have personally known hundreds, maybe THOUSANDS of sports fans and most of them were rude, obnoxious bores. I will say that some were totally oblivious to the fact that they were annoying everyone around them but there were a lot at the other end of the spectrum who just didn't care. They are the type that push some team momento in your face and scream some inanity --as if they are dominating you somehow!
I strongly suspect that Detroit Sports Boob / Perfect Zero is an agent of ESPN sent to derail the movement. I didn't know this until a few days ago but there are companies out there who employ bloggers and freelancers to zip around the internet like hummingbirds, writing in this blog or that, whatever opinion they are hired to push. For example, McDonalds might hire a company who specializes in such propaganda to counter rumors that there are worms in their burgers! A friend of mine who publishes a popular blog was approached a few days ago by such a company and asked if he wanted to make money promoting certain opinions in book reviews, forums, and blogs. My friend, who is too honest to participate in this kind of dishonest product mongering declined. But it looks like DSF is not that honest.
But what can you expect from someone who goes by three different names?
