IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Want to pay Samdaman a visit?

I'm giving in to a base temptation. Samdaman now has his own message board where he continues to obssess over our website and about how evil we are; and, unfortunately, he has received a sympathetic response, which shouldn't surprise anyone (although the most recent post was dated October 27, 2008, which means that interest in Samdaman's topic may be lagging). Actually, he doesn't use the word "evil" (most likely because he hardly believes in moral values with which to make any judgments). Can you believe this kid not being willing to let go? Of course, he mischaracterizes the website with his usual blather and lies. I thought some of the regular supporters of this website might like to pay him a friendly visit and have a little fun. The website address is rather long; and since I'm still rather new at the Internet, I don't know how to abbreviate long website addresses. So I'll just give directions on how to get to that particular website page. Do a Google search on "sportssuck.org." On the very first page of website listings that appears on your computer screen, scroll down to the fourth website address (which is entitled "SportingNews.com - Sporting News - Your expert source for MLB ...") and click. Perhaps you should proceed at your own risk. This kid seems to be rather vindictive in his manic obssessiveness. Again, since I'm new at the Internet, I guess there's the possibility that he or one of his friends might have a search engine that could track you down. I don't know how this works. Most of you would probably know more about the potential risks of exposure than I do. If any of you does have a tit for tat with Spammy, let us know about it at this Topic so those of us who are interested will go and read it. Personally I don't plan on visiting Samdaman anytime soon (if at all), because I have a lot to do; but I thought some of you might be interested. Have fun!

Samdaman is a wee fool who needs telling that playing with balls and victimising weaker people do not make a person cool or respectable! That is the definition of a total jerk. He fantasizes aboot sexual exploits involving blow-up dolls and sheep when quite clearly, he's only lying tae himself and we're just laughing at him for the stupid, stereotypical sports fan he is!

I see the thread. Read through it, was thoroughly unimpressed and will not waste the energy responding to the meatlumps.
I will say one thing, though. It looked like Samdaman, feeling completely failed at fighting his/her/its fight here alone, tried to get other people to start trouble over here on his/her/its behalf. One bully gets bested, they go crying to a network of other bullies for support rather than try and learn from their own mistakes.
And it appears to have not worked, since the last post in that thread was six months ago.

If you do a Google Image Search on sportssuck.org you will see some of our avatars and other images from our forum.
There are only four pages and on the first page you will see blackdog444's avatar, my avatar, Fat Man with the photo of myself, and next to mine, Rays avatar with the cigar smoking robot, and on the fourth and last page, the image of my four little dancing fat men and my pounding gavel.
You will also see many other images from the web site and the forums.
Just thought I'd let you all know.

I had posted this under the wrong topic so I deleted it from there and posted it here instead.

Oh, I remember that! I happened to stumble onto that site once, but I can't really remember how. Well, OK, maybe once I sort of googled "Samdaman" for some reason I can't remember.
Do you have to register there to post though? I don't know if I want to go to the trouble of registering at that site. Besides, they might reject me for having an IQ with more than one digit. Maybe if I can think of something really good to say?
Damn, everybody on that site is like him. Unless he's the only one posting under different names. Why not, he's done that at least once already!

I wish I knew why Samdaman acts the way he does, not to mention all the others like him. (I came on board after he had been banned.) I'm completely serious. I'm not joking. Call me naive; but I'd be willing to have a dialogue with him, if he would talk with me (which is rather doubtful, I know). Call me crazy, but I've seriously considered it. I guess I'm an amateur social scientist at heart (at least in this regard). I really don't understand his constant anger and his mindless hatred of nerds and his complete disdain for any kid who isn't good at sports or simply has no interest in them. His obsession with this website is as amazing as it is comical. I wish someone would tell me why he has these attitudes and feelings. I don't understand him. He doesn't make any sense to me. I'd love to be his psychologist. Perhaps the word "psychiatrist" would be more appropriate.

I don't get anything particularly profound from the nature of his attacks. He's either into agitating people, which many sociopaths are, or he is simply so passionate about sports that he has as many sports fanatics have turned it into a religion. When anything becomes religious in nature to someone, it has a tendency to take on extreme traits. And we've discussed many times what the extreme traits of a hardcore sports fanatic are, so I won't repeat them here.
Also, remember that this is the internet. Some people fail to separate the reality from fonts and real people, so they tend to not only say what's on their minds (which IS a good thing about the internet), but also simply just go too far because they want to see how far they can go in upsetting people.

Abitagirl, your post above made me chuckle.
Thanks for your response, Millhouse. I certainly agree with you that many sports fans turn one sport or another into their religion. After all, I grew up in the state of Texas. And football? Good grief! Need I say more? By the time I was a senior in high school, I couldn't stand King Football; and I hadn't even talked to anyone else about it to develop my views. I didn't need to. I've got a football tale I'd like to tell you. When a close friend of mine was about to start high school, his father noticed that he was becoming overweight, and told him that he either had to get on an exercise program or try out for the football team. (Actually, I think my friend's father favored football, needless to say.) I think football actually ruined our friendship. He seemed to completely lose interest in me as a friend, and did become somewhat arrogant. Our friendship was never the same after high school, and we ended up being more like acquaintances than friends. We were never close again. (In fact, he became one of your meatlumps. Brother, do I love that word! He once told me, "Football is life." Huh?

) Occasionally I give him a call at his office. Some day I might ask him why we drifted apart (although I think I already know the answer), but I don't really care much anymore. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you is a particular incident his older sister related to me several years later. She's
not a football fan, by the way. My friend's father would attend his practice sessions. He did not do very well in one of his practice sessions one day. So when they got home, my friend's father took him into an empty room in their home and started throwing a football at my friend's face as hard as he could, forcing my friend to catch the ball so it wouldn't hit him. All the time his father was screaming at the top of his lungs, "YOU SISSY! YOU SISSY! YOU SISSY! YOU SISSY!" Picture that in your mind. "YOU SISSY! YOU SISSY! YOU SISSY! YOU SISSY!" Can you believe that? Of course, never mind that his father had not played football in high school. What's really sad is that his father, who was a World War II Navy veteran who became a courageous attorney representing blacks in discrimination suits when Jim Crow was still the law in the state of Texas, was
ashamed of himself
for not having played football when he was in high school -- despite the great courage he had later shown as a serviceman in the Navy serving his country in World War II and then as a white Southerner opposing Jim Crow, which resulted in his family receiving death threats. You would have thought that he would have forgotten about not playing football in high school; but he didn't, and took it out on his son. Go figure. I don't know how my former friend would feel about this website today; but I'm sure if he had seen it when he was in high school, he probably would have cussed a blue streak. How sensitive! If I asked him today about what his sister told me, he probably would say that his father was justified in what he did. "YOU SISSY! YOU SISSY! YOU SISSY! YOU SISSY!" Well, there's another tale for your Sports Crypt. The important lesson for us to learn today from this tale is that if you don't play football well, then you're a sissy. I guess someone should have told that to David Kopay and Esera Tuaolo. I wonder what Samdaman would say about them. Hey, I've got to type it up
just one more time. It's fun! I like it!

Being a 35 year veteran from Dallas, Texas (I don't live there anymore, got sick of it), this doesn't surprise me, sadly. But it is disturbing nonetheless to read about.

I believe it. THAT'S what I don't like about sports. The belief that masculinity and football are somehow tied together and if you can't or won't play football, you're less than a man and should be ashamed of yourself. That is just CRAZY INSANE and yet it's very common. Good post, Earl.

The reason we have so many people like that living on this planet is because their mothers took a head first dive in the shallow end of the gene pool while pregnant.

Thanks for your responses, guys. I've been amazed that even though he had shown a lot of courage of a far greater sort by serving his country in WWII and society by his work as an attorney for racial justice, my former friend's father was still ashamed that he had not played a ball game when he was in high school! As I said in my post, go figure. BTW, for those who don't know, David Kopay and Esera Tuaolo (both of whom played professional football) are homosexuals. Kopay played several decades ago. They certainly haven't been the only ones. Others have stayed "in the closet" out of fear, for good reason.

Millhouse, now that I remember that you said in your last post that you lived in Dallas for 35 years, there's something I forgot to tell you. One of my sister's friends raised her son in Dallas, where he played football in high school. He was a really nice kid who frequently had to stand up to teammates of his who were bullying physically weaker fellow students. He got so sick and tired of it that he once told his mother, "If this is the way men in this state define masculinity, I don't want any part of it." He also moved to another state. Of course, he was naive to think that he could get away from this nonsense simply by living in another state. I've always been mystified by the tolerance shown towards those who are physically strong and who bully those who are not. I've always thought this kind of bullying was particularly cowardly. I cringe even if I accidentally step on one of my wife's feet. My dad's generation used to have a saying "Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" I guess that sentiment has gone out of style. I'm amazed that so many of the men whose standards of masculinity are "traditional" or who adhere to the mindset of machismo have problem at all with this kind of bullying, despite its utter cowardice. I know that some (but not many, in my opinion) high-school football coaches will not allow their players to bully nonathletic fellow students; but to me they don't seem to constitute the majority. Many boys' P.E. coaches, in general, seem to view nonathletic boys with contempt.
