Stereotypes

Ice skates, maple syrup, and a dozen or so toothless morons.

Stereotypes

Post by Canadian_Hockey_Hater »

Personally, a lot of stereotypes i find funny, but a lot are true... This came to my mind while i was listening to a song i found, Its a werid al verson of american idiot by greenday called canadain idiot... Normally i might have found this offensive but it was just to funny to stop listening to! lol, it was entertaining, and in the song it does mention canadians being hockey fans and something about curling... I just wanted to see how many of you have heard it, i found it hilarious, even though most of it was very untrue... Here are the lyrics for anyone interested in a good laugh... a lot of these stereotypes are new to me as a canadian... lol, the macaroni one was new to me, along with donuts and moose meat... I love the monopoly money one too, it took me a minute to relize that our money is colored compared to the US which is all one color... also I didn't relized we pronounced Z differently... hehe I learned something new today  i recomend you all to give this song a listen, its quite entertaining

Don't want to be a Canadian idiot
Dont want to be some beer swillin' hockey nut
and do I look like some frost bitten hosehead
I never learned my alphabet from A
to Zed

They all live on donuts and moose meat
and they leave the house without packin' heat
never even bring their guns to the mall
and you know what else is too funny
their stupid monopoly money
can't take 'em seriously at all

Well maple syrup and snow's what they export
they treat curling just like it's a real sport
they think their silly accent is so cute
can't understand a thing they're talking aboot

sure they got their national health care
cheaper meds low crime rates and clean air
then again well they got celine dion
eat their weight in kraft macaroni
and dream of driving a zamboni
all over saskatchewan

Don't want to be a Canadian idiot
Won't figure out the temperature in Celcius
see the map they're hovering right over us
tell you the truth it makes me kinda nervous

always hear the same kind of story
break their nose and they'll just say sorry
tell me what kind of freaks are that polite
It's gotta mean they're all up to something
so quick before they see it coming
time for a pre-emptive strike
Sports contribute nothing to society. They are a waste of time, money, effort and TV channels! It's just a bunch of buffed up, fat headed, idiotic jocks chasing a ball around.

If cheerleading were any easier... It would be called football!

That IS funny. :)
Weird Al is hilarious. Canadians pronounce Z as Zed? I didn't know that. I just found out a couple of weeks ago talking to a Jamaican girl that they pronounce Z as Zed too. At least he didn't say Canadians live in igloos. :))
