International I Hate Sports Club

I played a game of Aussie football this year in the mud. It was hailing and dangerously cold. I ended up kicking the winning goal which was a lot of fun. Then the siren went and all of a sudden my enthusiasm fades as I know of what is to come. The only thing I really want to do is go home and curl up in my bed playing X-Box with the heater on. But in reality I have to go into the change rooms, hug a bunch of people I don't even get along with that well and sing the same bloody tune every time we win. It goes something like this, for privacy reasons I'm changing the team name to "Milkshakes".

Milkshakes the team that you all want to follow.

We always play it tough and never stop until it's over.

It's like some god awful hybrid of 1950s jazz and "We Will Rock You". And I'm supposed to look excited singing THAT, while some morons drench me with water as if it's going out of fashion. But it's an important thing to learn as a footy player. Why? We could all be singing it in harmony and actually hitting the notes and I fail to see how it improves our performance on the field. I'm not sure if many other footy codes have this tradition, but it is a very bad one and wastes valuable time in which I could be having a warm shower in.

At least that one doesn't sound like it was written by someone who dropped out of school in third grade (that one sounds like it was written by a 6th-grader, maybe). Take the New Orleans Saints chant ("WHO DAT SAY DEY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS?"). Really. I once had that thing blaring at me over and over when I was in a checkout line. I was never so happy to get out of there. Damn, that was annoying.
