OK, this it it! I'm getting really pissed!!!

We've been getting a lot of new members here lately, and normally that's a good thing.

Of course, a lot of our recent new members haven't posted anything yet.

But now, for the past few days, we've been getting new members with some really strange looking using user names that nobody can pronounce, unless you have seven rows of teeth and three tongues.

And we've been getting nothing but SPAM from these fucking retarded scum-bags!

They're only wasting their time, because nobody bothers to click on the links they provide, and their SPAM only gets deleted anyway, and their user names get banned so that they can't post anymore.

Oh! But they keep coming back! And setting up new users accounts with new user names and a different E-mail address.

But it's still to no avail, because they'll only get banned again and their SPAM deleted again.

They'll never learn.

That's because ALL SPAMMERS ARE FUCKING RETARDS!!!

They don't really bother me too much. I just look at whatever new thread they created, and after that it doesn't really take long to exit and continue on with whatever I'm doing. And then it shouldn't take too long for someone to delete their account and their post. Anyway, I don't think stating your opinions on them will prevent them from posting. I'm fairly sure they don't read any posts here, so they won't read this thread and reconsider posting here.

Perhaps a new function could be added where when someone registers for this site, they have to state a brief explanation of why they are posting here, and the moderator who must approve of accounts can decide whether or not they are someone who is a legitimate user. It wouldn't have to be a lengthy explanation, even something as simple as "I don't like sports" or if it was an athlete/sports fan who was interested in debating with us, their reason could be "I like sports and am interested in discussing this website with its members". I think the moderators already have to approve of all people who register anyway, so considering that, it shouldn't add any difficulties? If it does though, it's just a suggestion I'm making.

I have to agree with the title of this thread. In fact, I was originally going to make a topic to express my discontent at the large amount of spam that has been hitting our forum recently. I don't know what's more laughable and pathetic - the fact that they actually do this, or the fact that they think this will actually benefit them. Nonetheless, we're just going to have to put up with it. The forum has had several bombardments of spam recently, but I suspect this'll just be a phase. We've gotten by fine for a good few months now. But if this constant spamming period does not cease, I will understand an increase in the forum registration security. I see the forum has just been spammed this evening. Annoying when you see your old threads get brought back up to the top, you think for that one moment that someone might have tried to incite more discussion on there and it turns out to just be a spam post.
