I thought that was pretty interesting. The beginning part which compared the sizes of stars and planets in our solar system was quite similar to a poster that was in one of my classrooms in elementary school.
Fat Man, have you ever seen this video?

I watched it over a year ago, I think I saw it on PZ Myers' blog Pharyngula when the video was first posted.

Given all this, it seems statistically impossible that there wouldn't be life forms somewhere else in the universe besides Earth.
I've always wondered, though, that since "time capsules" of sorts have been sent into space containing recordings of human speech, examples of art and technology, etc. (wasn't it one of the Voyager probes that contained these things?), what if another life form found these items on some distant planet? Would they have the intelligence to understand what they were seeing, and if so, would they even have technology capable of decoding the recordings and pictures, and then, would they have communication devices capable of transmitting signals, that humans in turn would be capable of detecting and decoding? Is there a way scientists did or could work around these issues?

I don't think I've ever seen a picture as big as that on the internet. It must have taken you a while to upload that to your Photobucket account.
I have often found space rather interesting, because there are so many questions that can be asked about it and nobody can know the answers to some of them. What is at the end of a black hole? Do other universes exist? What happens when you go beyond the end of the universe, or is that not possible? Will we one day ever go faster than the speed of light? The fact is, us humans have really not progressed past Earth at all. There's nobody living on the moon now, and the first people landed on it over 40 years ago now. In terms of space exploration, there is so much more left to do. It is a notebook with only one or two words written on the front page. And I also believe that somewhere out there, life exists. It would just be too hard to believe that only us humans inhabited this entire universe when there are so many billions of stars and planets out there.
Best regards,
