Here in NC, summer has been brutal...record high temperatures and the worst drought in anyone's memory. I'm so happy it's finally coming to an end.

On the internet portal, iwon.com, they had a poll on what folks' favorite thing about fall was. The top two were pretty obvious...Cooler Weather and Leaves Changing Colors. Ranking a distant Third place was "Football season" with a pathetic 19% of votes!

There's hope for this country yet.

COOL WEATHER! It's been miserable here too! If it wasn't for air conditioning Florida wouldn't be habitable. Or maybe it would but we'd all move very SLOWWWW like sloths and get nothing done. It's still not quite cool here but we had one day a few days ago that suggested that Fall might be on the way.

I'm glad to hear that only a measly 19% voted for football. We have been vindicated!

I voted for cool weather, since I'm in the mood for some, but I could have voted for the fall holidays too.

Now if only I could actually get some cool weather.
