Need good recording program

Does anyone know where I can get a good open source program for recording video? I'm trying to do a video review of Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition for a contest and since it's just for fun I don't particularly want to spend money. Hypercam didn't work at all while Cam Studio only did a short recording with no audio and both really slow down my computer.
