RETURN OF THE SPAMMERS!

Since I first came on these boards back in November of last year I never had the misfortune of having to endure the irritating spambots who plagued your board earlier on in the year. Having a read around I learned that there had been a board upgrade the month before I came along which seemed to have taken care of the problem. I thought, and I'm sure you all thought, that it had done the trick. Sure, there has been a lot of 4chan spam on these boards over the past few months but the perpetrators are real people, and we can't stop real people from signing up as that wouldn't allow us to get any new members. To sum up, I thought the spambots had been eradicated.

But no! It seems that today the board has been bombarded with some crap from a spammer called "ecshop445" who stuck up pictures of shoes and information about his crappy website. Perhaps the spambots have upgraded their software and have found a way around the board upgrade here? One can only presume. Anyways, I was just surprised to see proper commercial spam on these boards again. Let's hope for no more of this crap, but any more suspicious usernames should be deleted before they even are allowed to post. I see ecshop445's posts have been deleted now, which is good. So, I'll be keeping my eye out for any potential spammer usernames. Seeing as how I'm on this board a considerable amount I'd be more than happy to help with the eradication of spam on here if it is needed.
