OK, on my computer I have the weather bug.

This is what it looks like.



But I don't like what the live camera view it has been showing now for the past 3 weeks.

Normally, the live weather-cam shows this really cool scene of the down town area.



But lately, it's been switched over to another weather-cam that has been focused on this shit-dump instead.



Why doesn't my weather-cam show the down town area like it use to? Why is it now showing this shit-dump instead?

I'm beginning to hate my town more and more every day. El Paso in into ugliness! My fair city is queer for garbage dumps.

That's why a few weeks ago when I wanted to go to this computer shop to have a diagnostic test run on my computer, when I was at the bus terminal asking which buses I should take to get to my destination, they had me taking a 3 hour tour through the trashiest part of town, but after I got there, I took a different rout back which was much faster, and when I got back to the bus terminal, I was really pissed off!!! I asked them why they told me to take the rout through the shittiest part of town, which turned out to be a three hour tour through a garbage dump.

Why do they have a security camera focused on this shit-dump?



Are they afraid somebody is going to steal some trash or steal a turd???

I want the original weather-cam of the down town area back up again.

I swear, I'm going to find out where that shitty weather-cam is located and get an air rifle and shoot the lens out of it, and blast it into little peaces so that they'll have to go back to the down town weather-cam again.

I agree with you that the first photo would definitely be a better choice for a weather-cam shot. It shows a lot more of the sky than the new picture, and I guess that's what people want to see. And it looks a nicer, more modern area as well in the first photo. But the people on the internet... always changing their mind on things. Sometimes good can come out of it but sometimes it seems a bit pointless, like this change of weather-cam shot. Still, I don't think the second picture is that terrible. Here in the Midlands of the UK there are some urban scenes that would make that second photo look like heaven on earth in comparison. But it doesn't show as much sky as the first photo does, and if we can't see the sky, we can't get such a good impression of the weather and the course it might take over the next few hours. Still, people in charge of anything will often make strange decisions or modifications. It's just the way they roll.

Fat Man, have you ever read the Road by Cormac McCarthy? It is a post apocalyptic novel about a man and his son travelling through the wasteland and trying to survive, and it is a very good read, but the reason why I bring this up is that I just heard that the author said that the book was inspired by what he thought El Paso might be like after a nuclear war when he visited El Paso with his son.

Phew...are you serious, HugeFan? You liked The Road? From what I have heard it is quite a depressing novel, and I was unable to make it through 20 minutes of the film adaptation before moping off into the kitchen to drown my sorrows in a bottle of wine. Now, if someone were an ardent churchgoer, I could see how he might be able to read the thing cover to cover. As it is, however, I do not believe in an afterlife. There must be hope of a future in this life, or how can one live? There did not seem to be much hope in The Road. How were you able to finish it?
