An... Interesting Night

Post by HugeFanOfBadReligion »

Well, I had quite an interesting night tonight, and it isn't really relevant to any topics I could think of, so I'm starting a thread. A couple notable things happened tonight, which aren't really connected to each other, and there was a time gap of at least an hour between events. The first thing that happened wasn't really that significant. I was hanging out with two friends when we ran into a group of 6 people probably around our age, perhaps a year or two older. They tried to talk to us, but they were using that sarcastic tone that people like them use to intimidate people even though they aren't necessarily saying anything hostile yet. We realized they were trailing us when we looked behind and saw that they were going in the same direction as us, even though they were going the opposite way when we ran into them. I threw some of my garbage from what I was eating into the garbage, and they yelled out something along the lines of "Hey look, they just threw something into the garbage, are they trying to be eco friendly or something? This isn't Toronto man, there's no gay pride movement here" as if throwing something into the garbage was a huge step towards saving the environment, and as if not throwing your trash everywhere was a sign of homosexuality, where do they come up with this? Anyway, I knew they wanted to try to fight us, so I asked my friends if we were going to do anything, and they said we should just keep on walking. Eventually, they caught up, and were walking within the proximity of us as if they were part of our group. One of my friends were carrying a bag of chips, and one of the gang said "I'm going for the one with the chips". A minute later, I heard a noise and looked behind to see the bag of chips popped and on the ground, and they all laughed like little girls. I noticed that both of my friends kept on walking, and after yelling a few profanities at the gang, I asked my friend "Come on, are we really going to put up with this?" but neither of my friends wanted to fight back, despite the fact that this gang was trying to intimidate us, taunt us, and stole an item that my friend paid a small amount of money for. But I didn't argue with them and we kept on going. Eventually, they went a separate way, and went into a mall.

The second thing happened at least an hour later. Me and my friends decided to run some laps around the track of our school. After we were done, we sat on the bleachers and hung out for a bit. We noticed at least two people running across the field, laughing, one of them with a lighter in their hands. We didn't think much of it, other than the fact that it might be possible that they were part of that group who trailed us for a while. Not much later, when we were heading home, my two friends went one way while I went the other towards my house, but as I walked past the school, I noticed a huge flame, so I turned back and called for my friends, telling them that there's a fire. We ran towards it to see what it was, and the trash bin was on fire, and the fire was huge. It was spreading fast and going towards the school. We called 911, and a firetruck came a minute later. They quickly put out the flames, and one of the firemen came up to us and we said that we were the ones who called 911, and he told us to wait for the police so they could ask us about it. A policeman arrived not much later and didn't ask us much about the fire, as there obviously wasn't much for us to tell, but we told him about the people we saw earlier. We couldn't give much information, as it was dark, and the only visible distinction was one of the arsonist's white hoodie, but we told him that they were running north, laughing, and one of them had a lighter. I wish we would have known about the fire when we saw the culprits running across the field, we could have even caught them ourselves. Dumbasses like them, starting a fire that could potentially burn down an entire school, need to be stopped. I'm just glad the school didn't go up in flames (but I'm sure a lot of people would have been quite pleased).

Nothing else notable happened really, and I can't really say either events are interesting in a positive way, but I guess nobody was harmed really, and it definitely will give me and my friends something to talk about.

Wow, you sound like you have some real fucking idiots in your area. It's even making me mad now. Someone thinking that throwing some rubbish in a bin is "gay"? Keeping the street clean for other people and considering the environment to make it better in the future is "gay"? What a load of shit. And the people who attempted to light a fire near the school... I don't know what to say. I respect you for doing your best to remain an intelligent, hard-working and ambitious student in an area that seems to be rife with idiocy. Similar things were happening around my area at my age. As I keep saying... it will all be over in a while from now. If you're 15 now, and turning 16 before the start of the next academic year, you might have a chance to move schools or end compulsory education to get out of that idiot-base you seem to be stuck in. But I am thinking along more British lines here. It may be different over in Canada. I left my high school at 16 to move to a new college for Sixth Form and things were better there. If you're turning 16 over the next year, you may have a chance to move to another college to do the equivalent of your Sixth Form course. But I've never been to and don't know much about Canada, so I don't know if this will work out for you. All I'm saying is, you'd probably be better moving out of that school for an environment that will better suit an intelligent mind as soon as the chance comes. Because all the idiocy you're having to take right now must be a distraction.

And well done for confronting wibberley on the "pop music sucks" thread. You were the first person to take a direct, forceful tone towards him, I think. I've lost my patience with the extreme comments now. At least Fat Man's are reasoned or provoked to some extent. This guy is probably only doing it for shock value or to alienate people. I don't know.

Yep!

Let me explain: (not littering) = recycling = liberal = gay. You do know that all liberals are gay, right? How can you not know that? :P

Your friends were right. Those idiots were older than you, and there were more of them.

Well, it sounds like you guys were very courageous. Don't worry too much about those chavs. Karma's a bitch and they'll come to a bad end. (Chasing after Ike Clantons is so 19th Century. Nowadays there are more civilised weapons, for a more civilised age--like the law.)

Last Thursday evening on "Turkey Day" I had some friends come over for some turkey and stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberries and pecan pies, a really nice meal.

Then as they left at about 5:00 PM in the evening I also had to go out to get some cigars because I was running low on smokes.

As you all know, when I go out to do my shopping, when I leave my home I get around in one of those electric power chairs, my JAZZY 614 HD, which I use because of the arthritis in my knees and ankles. I get on a bus, and our city buses can accommodate two wheelchair passengers.

Anyway, I went to this Walgreens on Mesa Street to get some cigars, then as I left Walgreens I went across the street to get to the bus stop at the end of the block.

Well, across the street is the Don Haskins Sports Center, and the bus stop use to be in front of the Don Haskins Sports Center, but now, the bus stop has been relocated to the end of the block. But I still had to cross the street to get to the Don Haskins Sports Center then go down to the end of the block.

But that evening, a food truck from McDonalds was parked up on the sidewalk and the sidewalk was blocked by the food truck while something retarded was going on inside the Don Haskins Sports Center, probably a game or something, or some stupid moronic shit that had to do with Turkey Day. I really don't know, and I really don't give a flying fucking Hootenanny in Hell anyway! I just wanted to get home again.

A young lady was standing in front of her McDonald's truck waiting to slop the hogs when all the drooling moronic sports fan piggies would be coming to her trough. Oink! Oink!

When I requested that she would just move her truck back about three feet so I could get around the front of her truck to the bus stop, naturally she refused.

I was pissed off. I told her that she really needed to move her shit-wagon back a few feet so that we cripples can get to the bus stop and get home so that we don't have to sleep out on the streets overnight. It was 6:00 PM in the evening, and at this time of the year the sun sets just after 5:00 PM, so it was dark and the temperature was down in the low 40s and I really wanted to get home again. So, I had to look around for another bus stop somewhere else.

It never occurred to her that people in wheelchairs might want to get to the bus stop at the end of the block.

This town is full of morons who need to take some kind of lessons in basic thinking skills. Actually, they need to go back to Kindergarten again.

Hell, most of these morons here in El Paso Texas aren't even properly toilet trained!

I truly hate this donkey fucking, goat roping, redneck, sports obsessed, shit-kicker town!!!

HugeFan, I join recovering_fan in commending you and your friends for having called 911 to report the fire in the trash bin. I hope your friend whose chips were dumped on the ground didn't take it personally. Those punks were just looking for trouble from anyone.

I_like_1981, a certain word oft used by the British comes to my mind: hooligans.

Recovering_fan, in the U.S. Congressional elections that were just held, at least 23 percent of the gay vote went to the Republicans. That's an increase. And then there's the Log Cabin Republicans. Over the years I've also known macho liberals such as a former lumberjack, a former university football player, and a "tough as nails" attorney who braved death threats during the 1950s and 1960s for civil rights litigation. Actually, I could cite quite a few whom I've read about.

Fat Man, the young McDonald's truck lady was wrong for not being willing to move her truck a few feet so you could pass by. Some people just aren't considerate of those who have physical handicaps. I ought to know. My wife is legally blind, and (like you) my sister has a really bad case of arthritis and frequently has to get around in a motorized chair. She's not obese. Being considerate of others is the best way to go.

Yeah, sports people, and those who serve sports people are the lowest scum of the earth!

Sports is what has caused the declining quality of education in our schools, and sports has displaced people from their homes to build new sports arenas.

And sports interferes with our daily lives.

There are some days when we can't go shopping and bring home groceries because of sports. And there are times when handicapped people can't access bus stops and can't get home again because of sports.

One of these days it's going to happen. Some day I'll be going out to do some shopping and I won't be able to get on a bus home, and will end up sleeping in my power chair over night out in the streets while temperatures drop down to 28 degrees in the night. All because of sports.

As if it wasn't bad enough that TV programs are pre-empted for sports, but now, even our very lives can get pre-empted for sports.

Soon, many people, the elderly and the handicapped are going to start dying out in the streets late at night just because of sports!

If I ever wind up spending a night out on the streets because a sporting event blocks my access to getting a bus home, then I am going to get a lawyer, and sue both Sun Metro, and sue the Don Haskins Sports Center, and have it shut down. The sports fans will just have to watch sports on their black & white TVs while sitting in their single axle trailer homes. That's fine with me, they can just swill down their cheap Buckhorn beer, and suck their thumbs, and shut the fuck up!

Then after that, if anybody ever asks me a sports question, like what I thought of last nights game, that person is going to get my cane across his teeth and his lower jaw swung around to the back of his neck, and for the rest of his life, he'll have to suck mush through a straw to stay alive, and he'll never be able to ask anyone a sports question ever again! Can't say jack shit without a lower jaw!

End of story!
