My random rant :P

In a few weeks its back to school for us around here and with that awful time comes sports, ultimatly jocks, and a big waste of time... to much school funds and time is wasted on sports, while we are using textbooks that are falling apart and are so far outdated its kinda scary, the jocks are using every penny of school money on whatever they need to play there stupid little games... luckily we dont have cheerleaders to waste more time and money... although there is talk about someone wanting something to ogle at during games so much they have started a petition to have cheerleaders... its sick... Its going to be my last year of high school and after that I cant finally be free from idiot jocks and air head bleached blond cheerleaders, and i wont be seeing them again because they dont stand a chance at getting into the university i want to go to because it takes brains in their head, and not just muscle... and so life will be so much better, if i can survive this year anyways... no more wasting all the schools fund on sports, no more outdated textbooks (that you really just want to chuck at the jock in front of you) hehe so wish me luck as i endure the last year of hell... only a few more weeks of freedom...

:P end of my random rant ;) lol
Sports contribute nothing to society. They are a waste of time, money, effort and TV channels! It's just a bunch of buffed up, fat headed, idiotic jocks chasing a ball around.

If cheerleading were any easier... It would be called football!

DAM RITE!! You tell 'em, sister! I can't figure out why this silliness goes on year after year after year. How did sports, jocks, and cheerleaders ever even come to be at schools? When did it start? At one time there was just a one-room school house --with no sports, just teaching. Way out on the prarie. And then, later, when schools got bigger and more crowded with cities sprung up all around, did somebody say, hey, my kid is good at football and I'm the richest jerk in town so what say we have a little meeting and vote in the requirement to have a football team in the school? Is that how it started? Some rich DICK? And then, once it got started in one town, the a-holes in the next town over probably said to each other, hey, them Mayberry boys got demselves a football team in their school! Why don't WE start a football team in OUR school. Then we can go over on Saturday nights and let our boys whip their ASS! And so it came to be. And THAT town's football team drew the attention of the next town over and that town's loud mouths voted in a sports team. And this happened over and over and over until every school had a football team and everyone became so accustomed to it that they came to think that it was actually a part of school. And, in some god-forsaken places (like Texas), sports actually received more emphasis than learning and education. You're right Hockey-Hater, it IS a sad state of affairs.

thank goodness im not the only one to notivce this... my friend wrote an article about this crap in the school newspaper totally dissing the fact how sports have more emphasis then learning and it was great! everyone loved it, except of course for the jock assholes who probably only understood half the words in it... a few of the football jerks stopped my friend in the hallway and threatened her, i was with her and so obviously i defended her, shes very shy and wouldn't say something like "you guys are morons, go fuck each other in the locker room and die" but i would... hehe... luckly they were smart enough (barely lol) to back down when i started up on them, assholes... they act all tough and talk tough but when confronted with a girl that could kick there asses they back down and go cry to their mommies... we laughed about this for days! we still do! its great!!! lol, it was weird though, these football jerks look big and tough in their padded outfits that they need to ram into each other on the field, but without them, they are weaklings... and when its not a play that they can follow along, they couldn't beat up a kitten, let alone anyone else...

Has anyone else noticed this or am I crazy, why is it you never see a school sports team doing a car wash or selling crap door-to-door?
My wife and I were driving around town a week or so ago and noticed this, it always seems to be the school band that has to pay their own way just so they can be ridiculed and forced to sit through a stupid game.
I think the idiot jocks should have to help if they want lame marching band music to throw a ball to!

hey.. now that you mention it, is IS always the band doing the car washes --I'd never thought about it before.. that's an interesting observation. I guess the coach's boys are too good for that kind of thing. I'm gonna start paying attention now. Yes, the whole situation is crazy. If you want to be in Orchestra, you have to pay to partially reimburse the school for the instrument you'll use but I bet those jock-sniffers aren't paying for their pads! Why do they want to dress up like astronauts anyway? Bunch of pansies!

Everyone says sports teach teamwork. Sounds more to me like they teach you to act like a jerk.

They mean teamwork as in "as long as the team doesn't have to lift a finger". They're the team in the word teamwork, while everyone else takes care of the work, you know... team-work!

omg i never noticed that until now... my friend was in band and she had to do stupid fundraisers and crap... but i've never seen jocks work for anything... DAMN GOOD POINT *applauds* lol, also i got my newsletter for the beginning school year in a few days(ish) lol and my family is not really that we off when it comes to moneys and my parents have to pay like hundreds of dollars for me to go to school... and i was talking to my dad about it, and he asked me why we pay so much for nothing? he notices all the time that my textbooks and such as crap... ripped, tore, old and yet were paying hundreds of dollars... i thought about it and remebered an annocment about the football department got all new supplies and pads and crap whatever they need to ram into each other in front of people to make themselves feel manly, and i told him and he thinks its just as much bullshit as i do!!! its retarded... *sigh* but i swear if theres one more jock in my class actually destroying the textbooks just because they dont understand a word in them im going to have to hurt them...

The reason they destroy textbooks is because they're constantly told how wonderful they are so they all think they're going to go pro, get rich, marry the snotty captain of the cheerleading squad and live in the lap of luxury, then after they get out of HS you see them as night manager at a fast food restaurant.

I say if ever you out getting McDonald's or something and you happen to see some use-to-be "sports star" from your school, give them back a little bit of what they gave to others by saying something like:

"Hey ____, how's that whole sports thing working out for you?"

or

"Too bad they didn't teach flipping burgers in school, because throwing a ball is pretty useless in the real world!"

or even

"Hey Mr. All American, WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD!"

Single McDonalds's cheeseburger: approx $1.00,
McDonaldLand Cookies: approx $2.00,
Seeing the dumbass look on a toughguy, thought he was sweet, has-been HS athlete: PRICELESS!

Furthermore, wait about 5-10 years when you see them at your HS reunion and they've become typical fat, balding slobs that like to tell everybody stories of their "glory days" playing HS sports!

They become the sports fans that we all know and hate; it's a vicious circle!

Ha! They think they're going to grow up playing professional sports, get rich, retire early, and live their life in luxury.

Instead, the majority of them grow up to be Al Bundy.
