Making a long story as short as i can, I felt that i needed to post this cause i almost cryed. It was so great. My nephews (one is almost 8 and one is almost 9) were unfortunatly raised by their pro sports addicting parents, (i was always babysitting them when they went to sports games) and in turn they became sports fans themselves... it kinda made me sad cause they are such smart little boys, there parents put them into any sports teams they can find, which is alright, they are little boys who love to play games and exercise and such, but i wished they'd understand a little of what is wrong with pro sports. but my nephews have kind of started to dislike watching the sports on tv that they used to love watching. They found better and more constructive things to do with their childhood then watch jocks on television.
Then just the other day i was playing games with them while some of the family were watching some sort of sport downstairs when they all screamed at the tv (i dunno someone scored i assume) one of my nephews said along the lines of "those people are nuts" and i was impressed and they kinda half started to discuss that "sports make people crazy" and i was so proud they figured it out on their own... then we all laughed at the crazy people downstairs screaming at the tv. I'm happy for them, but sad that they seem to be growing up so fast. faster then the "crazy" people screaming at the tv anyways... lol
Sports contribute nothing to society. They are a waste of time, money, effort and TV channels! It's just a bunch of buffed up, fat headed, idiotic jocks chasing a ball around.
If cheerleading were any easier... It would be called football!
