Flipped through my tv channels again today (VERY briefly, before returning to my serious work). Caught the "exciting" game of golf. I saw 8 guys - I counted 'em - EIGHT - in the grassy skirt of the golf course, searching in vain for a lost golf ball which one of the players had hit there.
Also, I feel bad for all the SMALL countries in the Olympics. In the past - when I cared about the Olympics - I would cheer for the smaller countries - the ones who rarely win medals - to win once in awhile. So, even though I am American, I shamelessly cheered on the other nations, even when it meant defeating the American team.
Oh, me too. I think it's human nature to root for the under dog. I don't really know much about the olympics or really watch them but this year I did. I was surprised at how many womens' sports there were! That kind of got my attention and I watched maybe 6 or 7 womens events. 'Cause I'm crazy about them foreign girls!
But I didn't watch any of the mens' events I don't think.
