I stumbled across this website, and am shocked at the off base topics and conclusions that most of you have drawn. I grew up playing sports, made dozens of friends from the games and can proudly say it built CHARACTER!
I gained confidence and personality, it made me the person I am today with the ability to work in a team environment and interact successfuly. I currently work in sports, own a small business and remain in great shape playing adult leagues.
Give things a true look before you bash them based on your poor experiences playing.

either way, don't let yourself go too much. You try to take on a healthier lifestyle. Especially only being in 8th grade.

Oh wait, check it out! Detroitsportsfan is taking advantage of [possibly] the youngest member on here! That's weak, calling the youngest "fat".
Ray, see that? What's next, calling me "four eyes" or a "nerd"?

Being an overpaid doofus who thinks they can do what they want, when they want isn't either.

You might be a sports fan/jerk if...
You've ever started a sentence with "Buddy of mine..." or "I got a buddy..."

Yes, it's shameful and evidence of how sports do not build character. He's all about sports which supposedly build good character and yet bullies the youngest member of our forum... I thought I'd seen it all! tsk tsk.. shameful!blackdog4444 wrote:Oh wait, check it out! Detroitsportsfan is taking advantage of [possibly] the youngest member on here! I guess this topic has been closed. This is irrefutable proof that sports do not develop good character!

I Hope We Lose!
