If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are a conformist!blackdog4444 wrote:Hell no! Now how exactly is lowering your position fun, I do not know, but apparently YOU KNOW WELL.
Oh joy, it's always that you gotta be like everyone else at this age : dumb, emotional, lazy, desperate, and conformist. I'd rather improve upon image and reputation by being: smart, blank, hard working, and non- to anticonformist. May that explain how I get As in a class while everyone else seems to be failing with Ds or Fs on average.
So you're pretty much saying that I should chose bad over good but you just switched the definitions around. Hence, my very aggressive reply was right and is staying true.
Now, did you get more brain matter or what?
Conform; to act in accordance or harmony; comply, to conform to rules.
2. to act in accord with the prevailing standards, attitudes, practices, etc., of society or a group
What the above means is to do something because everybody else is doing it (prevailing standard) or to comply with rules. None of the examples you gave, living in a house or enclosure, eating, wearing clothes, or attending school, are examples of conforming.
We live in houses or other types of enclosures because we need protection from the elements and a house if the most practical choice of shelter for most people.
We eat because if we don't, we die. We don't do it because it's fashionable or because our friends are doing it.
We wear clothes for warmth and protection although a particular choice of clothing style might be said to be conformist. But wearing clothes itself is not conformist.
Attending school is the law. We have no choice in attending and because conforming is a willful act (a choice) , by definition attending school can't be conformist.
I wonder where LMC80 goes to school. He should get his money back because he certainly isn't learning anything. If you want a good example of a conformist, look at a typical sports fan. baaaaaaaahhh!!! sheep!

I'm really confused by the whole "socks" thing. And I don't do coke, and if you recall me and fat man were in agreement on the marijuana issue.blackdog4444 wrote:lol Looks like druggy here is starting to give in to imminent defeat.

Oh and as for the conformity thing...
1. Ok, you're a non-conformist. Who cares? Does that make you better than everyone else?
2. Do you want other people to be non-conformists? Because if everyone is a non-conformist, wouldn't that make the non-conformists the conformists?
3. I don't wear abercrombie. I don't listen to pop music. So am I a non-conformist? Or does the term only apply when it is convinient for your argument?

1] No, it does not make me better than everone else, it just gives me some capabilities that no one else seems to possess. It just makes me rarer to come by. [adds color to the world]
2] Since you do drugs, you'd conform to the druggies clique. [and 70% of applications here are turned down because that person didn't pass a drug test] If I knew the rest of your interests, then I could further categorize certain traits, but since you're too busy skiing I guess that isn't going to happen.
3] No, I do not want others to be non-conformists. Then there'd be no individuality left and, of I have fun arguing and seeing the look of defeat in their face, but when I'm nice I like to see that utterly drastic look of amazement. Though odd, it's a treat to enjoy and joke about.

Actually, there is a "druggie" clique at my school, but I'm not really friends with them. I guess you would probably call me a "jock", but, at least at my school, cliques aren't really prevelant at all.blackdog4444 wrote:1] No, it does not make me better than everone else, it just gives me some capabilities that no one else seems to possess.
