Sports copy editor who hates sports

I am a sports copy editor at a newspaper, and I hate sports. The games bore the crap out of me, and I can't stand the people involved (coaches, players, fans, parents, et al).

It must be really taxing to come up with new and fresh ways of saying, "and the quarterback ran and ran --faster than everyone else --and caught the ball to make a touchdown! yayyyyy!!". I mean, there are only so many ways to say it. But you have to write probably hundreds of articles. But at least you're getting paid for writing which is more than most of us can say! :)

I'm guessing the first copy editor position that opens up in the Editorial, News, Lifestyles, Home & Garden, Politics or any other sections...you'll be the first application in line! :lol:
