My Absence
Well as some of you may or may not know, I haven't been on the forum as often as I used to be. It is the last week of school and I had to make some preparations for the next school year.
I might as well tell you about a little graduation ceremony of some sort they call "Move-up Day." I can just say right now that we got greeted with the most beastly and informal greetings I have ever gotten from a school - screeching trumpets, farting tubas, crack-headed cheerleaders, and worst of all... ravenous-for-sports teachers. I got sick of all the helmet-bearing monkey boys they presented as trophys on screen [although they did look like they were about to plug each other]. Though I do have to say the scene of the wrestlers was the funniest thing I had seen in weeks [hopefully I don't have to explain].
Anywho... I am certainly not looking forward to high school with that sort of collected image in my mind. The only thing I'm certain of is that I'll like the cruel guided study teacher and the Intro to Metals class. I'd state more of this entertaining zoo... only at request though. I don't want to leave you dissapointed if I leave anything out.
So... any questions?

Re: My Absence
Welcome back, blackdog4444! I figured that your absence had to do with the imminent approach of the end of the academic year. Your description of "screeching trumpets" and "farting tubas" made me chuckle. When I was in high school, I played a tuba so I wouldn't have to take P.E., which would have been even more traumatic than junior-high P.E. I'm sure you'll find a circle of friends in high school.
Sergey, you all had to sing a rap song at your junior high graduation? It is to laugh. In your public school education, trendiness is essential.

Not trying to stir things up, but I feel sorry for you. For whatever reason, you just cannot enjoy things or people. You describe everything as if everyone else is a bunch of monkeys running around and you're this person sitting there with superior intellect to everyone around you.

Re: My Absence
No offense, Polite24; but I feel compelled to rush to blackdog4444's defense (which is not at your expense, believe me). Personally, if I had been in her situation, I would have been bored. (Just different strokes for different folks.) Perhaps she just felt like sports were being imposed upon her. Sounds to me like the sports crowd at her high school receive a great deal of recognition and perhaps preferential treatment as well. Speaking from my own high-school experience and the observations of many others I've heard over the years, there is no one who feels more superior to others than shallow social climbing girls in the "popular" crowd. Pretty on the outside, but ugly inside. My sister, who was not unpopular and had friends in just about all the cliques at her high school because she loved people more than groups, once told me that high-school social life is shallow. Of course, I already knew that.Polite24 wrote:Not trying to stir things up, but I feel sorry for you. For whatever reason, you just cannot enjoy things or people. Re: My Absence
DSF, when did I ever state that I could tame those monkey boys? I certainly didn't state anywhere in there that I had a superiority. Hell, there were even some others who were getting sick of the noisy greeting themselves... but, alas, they were just those kind of people.
And Sergey, by god, singing our high school's anthem seems to be just as bad as singing a rap song. It almost seems that they sent microscopic robots into the students' brains and took control of them - like sheep. Almost as if they had them under mind control because they were all chanting [bleeting]...
"GO BULLDOGS! GO BULLDOGS! GO BULLDOGS! YAY!!!!
And, correct as said, Earl. This high school is VERY clique oriented. There are so many extra-curricular activities this high school offers that it's unavoidable. Drama Club, 4-H, Band, Orchestra, Football, Basketball, Softball... bleh. To wonder how much worse high school will be compared to my middle school knowing that high school tends to have MUCH more drama than middle school... and counting that my middle school is more dramatic than a crap soap opera, this is going to be fun.
GOOD NEWS THOUGH! This god forsaken high school offers an alternative course that offers P.E. credits without the unnecessary fueling-competition aura. It's called JROTC, and it's more of a military training style course. I heard few signed up because it was so disciplinary in nature - and of course, they didn't want to were the uniforms.

Re: My Absence
You gotta watch out for them nanobots.
I'm all for JROTC (as well as PE4Life). That is good news. Have you heard that the politically correct idiots who run the San Francisco school board have actually banned JROTC from their schools?
The name of your high school's teams should be changed from the Bulldogs to the Bullfrogs. With that change in effect, you would then be able to cheer "GO BULLFROGS! GO BULLFROGS! GO BULLFROGS! RIBBIT!!!!"

Yeah, school spirit and doing things after school and being involved is horrible.blackdog4444 wrote:DSF, when did I ever state that I could tame those monkey boys? Why do you hate any type of "fun" activity?

Why do you hate any type of "fun" activity?
I would like to get back to work on my oil paintings again.
Eventually I want to get back to working on radio controlled model planes again when my financial situation improves.
I enjoy listening to good music, and I love singing at the Karaokes.
There are all kinds of fun activities I like to engage in.
But in the past, I have been beaten down to the ground because you sports fans think that's sissy stuff, or unmanly, that the real fun in life involves chasing a ball.
Well, a dog can have fun chasing a ball, or fetching a stick. A dog lacks the intelligent to create a work of art or building a radio controlled model plane, as apparently do you sports fans.
So, when you encounter something you don't understand, you hate it, and you wish to destroy it.
And you wish to force us into seeing what you do as fun, when for us, it is not!!!
So, if you're happy chasing a ball, then go for it, but please don't bite my leg ot try to rip my throat open because you lack the intelligence to understand the things I like.
So, you be a good little doggy now and go play with your little ball!
OK, Fido?
Gee! I'm a fat bitch!!!
I'm fat and sassy! I love to sing & dance & stomp my feet & really rock your world! All I want to hear from an ex-jock is "Will that be paper or plastic?" After that he can shut the fuck up!

Re: My Absence
Your argument would be great if blackdog didn't clearly look down upon other school activities such as drama and band. This is far from a sports issue.
and Fat Man, please stop saying "I'm a fat bitch!" at the end of your posts.
