Another Good Reason Why Sports Sucks Out Loud!!!

Post by Fat Man »

OK, on Saturday evenings, at 8:00 PM on KFOX Channel 8, I like to watch America's Most Wanted, a crime fighting show with profiles of the most wanted criminals. It's an excellent program, and any callers who recognizes someone may call in their tips, and remain anonymous.

But I'm really pissed off, because it's being pre-empted for a stupid baseball game, MLB Baseball Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at New York Yankees.

Like, big fucking deal! I could care less!

Now, it's bad enough when a regular entertainment program, like a comedy for example: or even a really good movie gets pre-empted for a sports event, such as a stupid baseball game or an ugly repulsive football game that you can even smell over the air!

But it's even worse, when a very important program like America's Most Wanted, a program that helps capturing criminals and bringing them to justice, when something like that important gets pre-empted, then that is the absolute pits!

In fact, these sports-tards are such lowlife scums that they have to look up to see the pits. They're so fucking low down that they have to stand on top of Mount Everest to kiss a snakes ass!

I mean, like, REALLY!!!

Somehow, I believe that capturing some lowlife scumbag piece of dog-shit pedophile who butt-bangs little children, or capturing some rapist or murderer is far more important than some stupid ball-game, whether it be Base, Basket, or Foot!

And NO! Please Mr. Polite24, please, please, please, pretty please, don't tell me the reason why sports programming gets top priority because it makes more money.

I don't want to hear it!

So, before you open your mouth to say anything, I'm a headin' you off at the pass!

I'm telling you right now JIMBO . . . . . . .

PUT A SOCK IN IT!!!

OK???

And you can stick that in your Gucci bag and take it to the bank!

I definitely agree with you, Fat Man. I mean, they canceled my favorite local tv COMEDY for the most boring, eye burning, ear stabbing football game I've ever seen. I became bored enough to begin starting crap with my aunt.

Also, I absolutely HATE when they cancel radio programming for a stupid football game! I WAS FORCED TO LISTEN TO THE DOUCHEY ROCK STATION! Freakin Nirvana makin me go deaf and Kings of Leon [or something like that] giving me a headache.

Instead of the psycho rock I love all I hear is "and there he goes TOUCHDOWN! *air horn*"

Doncha just love the sound of them air horns? (They were used quite effectively at the 1964 Republican National Convention, which nominated Barry Goldwater for President, whom the segregationists loved.) The louder, the better!

Yeah, that's been happening to me off and on during the week. *turn on the TV* Baseball! Dammit. *turn off the TV* Then tonight it was *turn on the TV* Football! Dammit again. *Change channel and watch news on a COMPETING STATION because YOU insist on showing boring football! Ha ha!* (Yes, Polite24, I am perfectly aware that the station showing the stupid game probably had more viewers and higher ratings because they were showing a football game, and therefore it is silly to mock it, so you don't need to point it out.)

Yeah! I remember good ol' Barry Au H2O!

Many years later, he kind of mellowed down a bit and wasn't quit so radical.

Back in the 1980s when Jerry Falwell started his so-called "Moral Majority" which was supporting good ol' Ronald Bed-Time-For-Bonzo Reagan, good ol' Barry Au H2O said that all the Christians should get together and kick the Reverend Falwell's ass!

That was the very first time, and probably the only time I had ever agreed with Barry Au H2O.

I kind of thought that was sort of cool!

I agree! It's MADNESS? In what other medium are schedules and customer service just thrown out the window???

That's the equivalent of me driving down the street until I reach a huge traffic jam where a highway construction worker with a detour sign tells me the road is closed because a local church is having a big street party and I'll have to either go home or take a one-hour detour.

It makes no sense. Why does one small group of people get to impose their will on the majority? It's bullshit.

But things are changing. In a couple of years baselball will even less popular than it is today and it will drop off the TV.

Well! Well! Well!

I guess Mr Polite24 isn't going to come in here and tell us, as he usually does, that sports gets top priority over all other programming because it makes the most money.

He knows, that sports should not get priority over finding missing children, or finding a rapist or pedophile who has murdered little children, or finding someone who has killed a police officer, etc. etc.

I don't know if he has viewed this particular topic or not, but I suspect that if he has, he knows well in advance that I'm not going to abide any more of his bull-crap!

If Mr Polite24 has at least an ounce of common human decency, then he should very well know, that there can really be no justification for a sports event pre-empting a program as important as America's Most Wanted.

So, I guess he's not going to come in here and say anything of the sort, because he knows that he really can't, as he could with any other type of programming.

I have him trained. He no longer spouts off his old 99% percent bullshit anymore, as he use to in the past.

So, I guess I have him well trained, just like a little puppy dog, I have him trained to go on the paper.

He's finally housebroken now!

I own him!

Fat Man, I see where you're coming from. But the guys on that list have usually been on there and at large for years. The chances of them getting found because of a tip from someone watching the show are very low.

Plus, the true purpose of the show isn't to find the guys. Stuff like that is interesting to people and they know it will do alright.

I don't say the 99 percent thing because if I say that my post will get ignored. Don't think it still doesn't apply to a lot of things.

and Ray, you're delusional if you think baseball is coming off your TV.

That's where you're wrong, as usual.

America's Most Wanted has been successful in getting over a thousand criminals apprehended because of viewer tips. Yes, sometime it dose take several years before some scum-bag is brought to justice.

The program is hosted by John Walsh.
About John Walsh

About John Walsh Most people know John Walsh as the dedicated host of America's Most Wanted, the man whose groundbreaking television program has helped take down over 1,050 dangerous fugitives and bring home more than 50 missing children in the past 22 years. But it's not the career he envisioned for himself.

Most people know John Walsh as the dedicated host of America's Most Wanted, the man whose groundbreaking television program has helped take down over 1,050 dangerous fugitives and bring home more than 50 missing children in the past 22 years. But it's not the career he envisioned for himself. Born in Auburn, N.Y. and educated at the University of Buffalo, John moved to Florida with his wife Revé, and was living the American Dream. He was a successful businessman, building high-end luxury hotels and building his life. But after Adam's murder, everything changed.

The Walsh's experience taught them that the nation was in desperate need of leadership in the fight to protect children, and they decided to create something positive out of their personal tragedy. From the ad hoc organization they put together to help with the search for Adam, they established the Adam Walsh Child Resource Center, which eventually merged with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), which they co-founded in 1984. The NCMEC provides invaluable resources to parents, children and law enforcement in the United States and internationally. The charity consistently receives an A+ rating for its ability to spend more than 90 cents of every dollar raised on programming. Its incredible partnerships with both the public and private sectors make the NCMEC a leading example of a highly respected and effective non-profit.

John's search for justice and his determination to not let Adam's death be in vain led him to fight back like few other Americans have. Although he's never held political office, Walsh has been the driving force behind major pieces of child protection legislation. This hard work led to John being honored five times by four presidents: Ronald Reagan (twice), George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush. One of John's proudest moments was when he and his wife Revé stood beside President George W. Bush as the "Adam Walsh Child Protection & Safety Act" was signed into law on the 25th anniversary of Adam's murder.

In December, 2008, the Hollywood, Fla. Police Department officially closed Adam's case, naming the man who had always been the prime suspect, as Adam's killer. Thousands of crime victims have received justice in their own cases thanks to John and Revé's never ending dedication to fighting back. Law enforcement has also embraced John. He's been honored numerous times by many local, state and federal agencies. In addition to being named "Man of the Year" by both the U.S. Marshals and the FBI, John was also made an honorary U.S. Marshal. John is only the third man to receive this honor in the organization's two hundred year history.

John is the best-selling author of three books: Tears Of Rage, No Mercy and Public Enemies.

He also recently teamed up with Julie Clark, creator of the children's multimedia line Baby Einstein, to produce a series of DVDs called The Safe Side. The two DVDs, Stranger Safety and Internet Safety, have been lauded as exceptional resources for parents and kids in dealing with predators in the real world and online.

John Walsh lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Revé. They were blessed with three more children after Adam: Meghan, Callahan and Hayden.
So, once again, there can be absolutely no justification for pre-empting America's Most Wanted just for a stupid ball game, whether it be Base, Basket, or Foot.

(Swats Polite24 across the nose with a rolled up newspaper)

Well, at least you didn't say it's because baseball makes more money. Thanks for not spouting off that bullshit.

And you're right, the 99% percent thing still applies.

99% PERCENT OF SPORTS FANS AND JOCKS
ARE ABSOLUTE MORONS!!!

So instead of showing a programme that would make the world a bit safer, they show sports!? So sports are more important than public safety!? What is wrong with them!?

Oh yes indeed!

All the sports fans and especially the jocks would love it, if America's Most Wanted was permanently taken off the air.

God forbid, that some well known football player wanted for rape and murder should ever get profiled on America's Most Wanted!

NO! We can't ever allow that to happen!

GOD FORBID!!!

Come on, America's Most Wanted on Fox is meant more to be entertainment than anything else. This type of information is easily obtainable from the internet as well as several other sources.
