HELP! I'M BEING HARASSED THROUGH PHONE CALLS AND E-MAILS!

This evening I wanted to lay down and take a little nap because I didn't get any sleep last night.

About a half hour later as I was laying down, the phone rang, so I answered it.

The caller ID said UNKNOWN CALLER, and nobody answered. No big deal, it's happened before.

Then about 5 minutes later my phone rang again, but there was no called ID, and all I got was some loud rap music that really sucked.

And finally, about 15 minutes later, somebody called. He sounded really nice. I thought he might have been a forum member, but he wouldn't give out his name. Instead he advised my to check out this web site 4chan.org and thee I would see the people responsible for harassing our forum.

Then he told me to scroll down and click on contact information to report the harassment, and just write to them and say . . . . .

. . . . . HELP, I'VE BEEN RAPED BY . . . . . then, I couldn't maker out the rest of what he was saying before he hung up.

I also received two harassing E-mails this afternoon when I came home from shopping, and some more E-mails thanking me for subscribing to some sports web sites. I am unable to unsubscribe from these sports newsletters!

I just now got one from MinnesotaVikings.com and I have to enter both my first name and last name as well as my E-mail address in order to unsubscribe.

So, I'm now subscribed to a bunch of carppy sports newsletters against my will.

But that's how jocks work!

In school, I was not allowed to read Astronomy books.

But now, I'm having sports newsletters crammed down my throat.

And there is not a damn thing I can do about it!

You know, it's one thing being harassed on an open web site forum as we were last night, but it's another thing entirely when I get phone calls and harassing E-mails.

I have no privacy anymore.

It's like being naked in a football locker room.

I assume that your phone number is listed publicly in the El Paso phone book. One of the harrassers may even live in El Paso. Considering that "john" made death threats against us and that you've been receiving harrassing phone calls, you need to call the police to report this. You know who's been making these calls. You may be able to bring a lawsuit against them. Just be sure when you make your report that you be calm and polite to whomever you talk to at the police station.

There's lots of people in El Paso with the same first name as mine. It's a very common first name.

I would hate to think that anybody else with the same first name as mine are also being harassed just so they can reach the right one.

But that's how jocks work. They will bully an entire group of people to make sure they also get the right one.

I saw a kid today when I went to Taco Bell and he was wearing a Bert Farve jersey. This is his hero? Little does he know that all Farve does is drink beer and eat Vicodin, when he's not throwing interceptions or whatever he does.

What these kids need is someone real to look up. And just browsing this forum the past few days, it's made my hatred for sports even greater and realize that athletes can never be role models. Fat Man should be an hero. Through all the trials and tribulations, he's still there standing huge in the face of adversity. He's experienced so much hurt, but is still here instead of just giving into the charades. I'm not saying that you have to go through THAT rough of a time to be an hero, hell, having a jock steal your iPod or whatever could call for standing up and becoming an hero for others. This world needs to realize it would be a better place if they could rely on people like Fat Man to be an hero.

There are far greater accomplishments than chasing a ball. A dog can chase a ball.

Maybe you could report all those e-mail as spam and get them blocked. The only way I can think of them finding out is through your IP address.

Well, I am able to unsubscribe to some of the sports newsletters in my E-mails except the one from the Minnesota Vikings web site. They want too much persona information with is none of their damn fucking business.

What I can do is go to my Yahoo Homepage and click on each E-mail then click on the [This Is Spam] button and that should solve the problem.

I can't do it from my IncrediMail which is my default E-mail.

But I can go to my Yahoo page and fix the problem there.

I just now unsubscribed to the NHL, National Hockey League Newsletter.

When I clicked on unsubscribe, it redirected me to their unsubscribe page. Of course a had to check a bunch a boxes giving my reasons why, and then there was a small text window so I could type in more reasons why I wish to unsubscribe.

Now, I just love those little text windows because I love giving my reasons why I wish to unsubscribe, or why I think a product of theirs sucks, or why I think they suck!

I too have been receiving some heat from these idiots.
I've checked my email inbox and have seen a request to reset my Windows Live password which was NOT of my making and someone has put up an offensive comment on my YouTube profile. I am sure it is one of these 4chan morons. My email address was left up over on the Forum Games topic on this site so I didn't help myself much there. Now they can send me all the mails they want.
However, my actual inbox has not been clogged up as all emails from unknown senders are sent to my Junk folder. For an email to appear in my actual inbox, I have to confirm the sender as safe first. I have in excess of 200 junk emails to go through, but I shall be scouring them for any abusive messages I may have received from the 4channers. After all, I did go up onto one of their moronic threads and stir up some trouble. So I'm on their hit list too. Hey, I don't mind. At least no more of them can register!
However, I'm not having any phone calls as my number is nowhere on the internet. Nor is my real name. I don't understand, Fat Man, how these people got your phone number, or did I miss something from the original post? You should call the police about this. Email abuse I can take but over the phone... I would definitely make the law aware of it. Phone calls imply they are close to finding out your physical address, which is enough reason to report a serious threat being made to you.
Perhaps you should take a leaf out of my book and set your inbox to "receive messages from safe senders only". It's working for me so none of this crap is getting in the way of mails that I want to read but I see you aren't with Hotmail so your email provider may not offer the same setting.
Well, I'd best be off. I need to see any abuse these people may have sent me via email. I shall be back on their thread tonight to give them a piece of my mind. Or perhaps I could give them an unpleasant response? But I don't want to put my IP address at risk.

Okay, here's the news.
I have had FOUR harassing comments put up on my YouTube profile.
I have also seen some subscriptions to sporting websites in my Junk folder, like you have, Fat Man.
And of course, one request to change my Live password, which I shall now proceed to refuse.
Well, these idiots need replying to! I feel the need to vent some steam!
I can't see why they're criticising us for not liking sports as what I've seen tells me that these people spend just as much time sitting in front of a computer screen to annoy and harass people. No life! So why are they defending a pastime meant for the strong and healthy? I'm sure these people are scrawny and pathetic, and even worse, liars and online bullies. Why are they targeting people just as nerdy and dependent on technology as themselves?
I wouldn't try and reason with the people on these threads against our site. I'm not going to let their minds wander - they're too little to be left alone.
