I have made this thread to make it the general place to put in inputs for the bettering of this glorious forum.
Common sense please. (And sod off jocks)


Here is my first suggestion: Why don't we have one all-out battle thread where even guests could post (so we can lambast any jocks)? (With spam preventing features just for the thread, if possible- e.g. the captcha and other thigns)

Back in February, we did have one topic open to guests, and since I'm oe of the most outspoken members here, I was especially singled out for harassment.

No, I'm sorry, it's a bad idea, because it would become just another bullying tool for jocks and obnoxious sports fans.

Then lack common sense.

The Forum Games section used to be open for unregistered users to post in. But when 4channers started using it to launch attacks on members of this forum we had to remove that privilege and restrict all posting on this board to registered users only. I think it's for the best. It really ain't that hard to register an account anyway.

So, I believe I have one suggestion for this forum, which I did already suggest in a different thread. In light of events that have happened this year, I suggest that a new rule is added onto the official Forum Rules which states that any user who signs up and immediately starts posting 4chan memes or phrases is banned and given the rank of SPAMMER. Something along those lines. That is how it's been for rather a lot of this year already but it has become an unwritten rule now. 4chan troll or timewaster = ban and rank change. I leave it to the mods to decide whether that rule is added.

Apart from that, there's no other suggestions I have to better this forum in any way. If I think of any, I'll make sure to post them in here.

Ah, so it has been done once. Well, I guess, one learns reality... (my, I sometimes wonder why I believe there is a gram of goodness in everyone- certainly not true. There is a gram or more of goodness in a large amount of people, but not all....)

Yeah, it was kind of an invitation for the 4channers to come in and start spamming. But they're bored of this website now, so no more SPAMMER ranks look likely to be used in a while. Oh well, who knows what might happen next - there's plenty of steroid-munching, belligerent jocks out there yet waiting for a target to unleash their anger on... let's let them come to us. Then you'll get chance to use that great speech of yours.

I personally think it would be a good idea to divide the Guestbook comments up into a few separate pages shortly. There's so many of them, some of which go back over five years now, it takes ages to scroll down the whole list even at rapid speed and it takes a while to load up all that text. That's my second suggestion.
