These are excellent videos with really good picture and sound quality.
As you all know, I'm a real Inquisition buff. It has always been one of my most favorite historical topics. Yes, reading about the Inquisition is very depressing, and it stirs up great anger in me, but I seek the truth at all costs. Even if it hurts to read about it!
I have read many books on the Inquisition. When I was not allowed to check out certain books from my school library, there was always the public library. I was only in the 5th grade when I became keenly aware of the Inquisition.
That's one of the reasons why I became more rebellious toward authority when I was just a kid.
I drink of knowledge as lesser men drink of booze!
Yeah, I do like my beer sometimes, but knowledge is my booze!
I can really grok this!
To grok (pronounced /Ë?É¡rÉ?k/) is to share the same reality or line of thinking with another physical or conceptual entity. Author Robert A. Heinlein coined the term in his best-selling 1961 book Stranger in a Strange Land. In Heinlein's view, grokking is the intermingling of intelligence that necessarily affects both the observer and the observed. From the novel:
Grok means to understand so thoroughly that the observer becomes a part of the observedâ??to merge, blend, intermarry, lose identity in group experience. It means almost everything that we mean by religion, philosophy, and scienceâ??and it means as little to us (because of our Earthly assumptions) as color means to a blind man.
The Oxford English Dictionary defines grok as "to understand intuitively or by empathy; to establish rapport with" and "to empathize or communicate sympathetically (with); also, to experience enjoyment." Other forms of the word include "groks" (present third person singular), "grokked" (past participle) and "grokking" (present participle).
In an ideological context, a grokked concept becomes part of the person who contributes to its evolution by improving the doctrine, perpetuating the myth, espousing the belief, adding detail to the social plan, refining the idea or proofing the theory.
Grok, also means, to drink.
So, do please watch these videos, and grok of this with me. OK?
Also, I would appreciate any comments you all might have to offer to my topic.
And so . . . . . without further ado . . . . .
I present to you . . . . .

I have always thought that the Inquisition officially ended with the last person being burned at the stake in Mexico back in 1830.
But last year, one of my Jewish friends here in El Paso Texas told me of his great grandfather who was falsely accused of witchcraft and was burned at the stake in Mexico sometime in the 1840s.
Then, if you watch the last 5 videos, you'll learn that the Inquisition really didn't end until some time back in 1858.
Of course, now, the Office of The Inquisition has been renamed The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
So, I just gotta wonder . . . . .
Is the Inquisition still on??? Eh?
Somebody please tell me it isn't so!!!
