Post by sports rox1234 »

What is your favorite T.V. show? Mine are How I met your mother and Two and a half men.

Hey, sports rox1234. Since I'm a middle-aged fogy, my favorite TV shows are rather dated, for the most part. My all-time favorite is definitely the original Twilight Zone series hosted by the late and great Rod Serling. A close second would be the first season only of the original Outer Limits followed by another anthology series from the early 1960s -- Thriller, which was hosted by Boris Karloff, best known for his performance as the monster in James Whale's movie Frankenstein. I also like reruns of Tales From the Dark Side, Monsters, and the new Outer Limits series.

I like Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, Paranormal State, Most Haunted, UFO Hunters, Monster Quest, Dogfights, America's Funniest Home Videos, and Man vs. Wild. They're all relatively new series, except America's Funniest Home Videos - I only like the newer episodes of that show.

At the risk of sounding stereotypically nerdy, I do like watching Star Trek. Mostly The Next Generation and Voyager. I never really got into Enterprise, though. Probably because I missed a whole bunch of episodes.

Oh, and I love Mythbusters. Probably one of the greatest shows ever! :)

Mythbusters is another great show. And no one should call you nerdy just because you watch star trek you should be able to watch what you want to watch. :D

And at the risk of sounding even nerdier, I liked all 5 Star Trek series. However, most other Sci-Fi shows have eluded me, so maybe that makes up for it on the nerdiness scale. (OK ok I admit, I do love the new Dr. Who & Torchwood.)

Other shows I like:
No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain
Ugly Betty (DON'T LAUGH! )
Robot Chicken
Family Guy
American Dad
The Soup (guilty pleasure)
Graham Norton
Coupling
Pushing Daisies (Why oh why did they have to cancel them!??! )
The Daily Show

I don't get to watch a lot of TV because my wife won't let me hold the remote control but SHE watches Housewives of Orange County. That Gretchen is pretty hot, eh? And she watches Rachel Ray's cooking show a lot.

When she's not home I like those reality shows where they play tapes of riots and disasters and dumb criminals. Oh --and America's funniest Home Videos.

Oh --I like Travel shows too. I like Samantha Brown's shows. But I'm not crazy about Anthony Bourdane. He seems a little rude. Andrew Zimmer on Bizarre Foods who eats weird food is pretty cool though.

Ah yes. Samantha Brown is like the luckiest person on Earth...to get paid to lounge by a beach on the Riviera or whatever, drinking cocktails and eating gourmet food and tell people "Oh you should be here!". You lucky B*&@h!
I hear you on Bourdain...he's an acquired taste. I just like his show cuz he skips the tourist areas and shows you what the real locals eat. Guess that's what interests me on that show.

And your wife watches Rachel Ray?? You poor fellow!
Well I suppose it could be worse. At least she's not watching that drunkard, Sandra Lee: "Look! I opened up a can of beans and microwaved them with a dash of paprika...I'm a chef!!"

I like Andrew Zimmermans show better than bourdains.for some reason Zimmermans show is just more entertaining maybe its because hes not so serious on his show.

HA HA HA HA HA HAHA --that's funny.

yeah, Samantha Brown IS lucky and she's just so likable. And to be honest, although I'm not crazy about Anthony Bourdain, I like him better than when he first started. He seems to realize that he was a little rough and is making an effort to show his more accepting side.
