Haha, simple but straightforward. Nice job, this is the first time I actually enjoyed writing poetry.abitagirl wrote:My turn! My turn!

Re: hey! I made a haiku!
I don't know if I'd exactly call myself a poet. Well, I could do haikus, I think, so maybe.
Yes, it really is JUST A GAME.
Re: hey! I made a haiku!
It really wasn't that hard, the only hard thing was making sure I got the syllables right. C'mon give it a try.blackdog4444 wrote:I envy you 3... lol
Bows* You're welcome Ray-san. I'd like to say it in Japanese but my Japanese is super rusty. I'm thinking of going back to take classes again.Ray wrote:ahhhh.. very nice Indurrago-san! Re: hey! I made a haiku!
it is kind of hard, isn't it? it feels sort of unnatural to fit words into three short lines.blackdog4444 wrote:Uh... I can't do it! Too hard! [How in the world did I write that 6 page story back in 5th grade?!]

Re: hey! I made a haiku!
Yea, it's especially hard for me knowing that I truely suck at creative writing.
Re: hey! I made a haiku!
I"m horrible at poetry and my English teacher who did the curriculum back then disliked it too. I think you're just thinking too hard, I mean you're drawings were great. In the end you write something simple but because it's so short it can be looked at different perspectives(people) to have a more deeper meaning than you intended. I think a good writer isn't necessary a good poet(but I'm neither of those). Here's another one:blackdog4444 wrote:Yea, it's especially hard for me knowing that I truely suck at creative writing.
The fans roared loudly
The team lost quite shamelessly
And I"m still laughing!
Ok someone else try now!

I think everyone ran out of ideas.

Okay this is my LAST ONE. It's not that good but oh well.blackdog4444 wrote:I think everyone ran out of ideas.
The goal hit, game won
The fools cheer and celebrate
Nothing accomplished
That's enough poetry for this for me.

I STILL can't come up with ideas! How the hell did I get in the 99th percentile on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills in Literature?!?!
