He may listen, but he does not comprehend.

He still doesn't get it!

Yeah! I agree with you! You trolls never lie!

Because you are The Trolling One. :D :D :D :D :D

Also, I'm a big fat bitch, and we big fat bitches also never lie!

We just like to BITCH! BITCH! BITCH! BITCH! BITCH! :D :D :D :D :D

They might mean no harm, but the fact remains, they still cause harm.

That is, some of them might mean no harm.

But, please don't tell me that it's 99% percent of them that mean no harm.

The fact is, most of them are assholes who will harass you on the job because you don't wish to participate in their childish Kindergarten sandbox games.

And you might even have a boss who's asshole enough to fire you for not participating.

And please don't tell me it can't happen!

If I can be denied and deprived of a decent education just simply because I didn't like sports, then people can also lose their jobs if they don't like sports.

So, before you say anything . . .

. . . I'm heading you off at the pass before you can even begin to open you moronic mouth and spew forth any more of your imbecilic slobber and drool.

Yeah! I'm a big fat bitch!

Now, deal with it!!!

Are you referring to me?

If so, then you're absolutely right!!!

I'm some crazy whackozoid on some kind of random crazy rant that makes no sense!

I guess I'm a moron who stands corrected.

Yeah! I guess I'm wrong and you're right!

Now I see!

It makes perfect sense to harass people on the job who wish not to participate in some fantasy game. It would make even more sense for a boss to have those employees fired who refuse to take part in an all American pass time.

Yeah! Take away their jobs, then take away their homes and their cars, and dump them and their families into the streets.

If a family ends up sleeping under a bridge and starving to death, then I guess it serves them right for being unpatriotic and rejecting a great American pass time.

Yeah! That'll teach'em! Dirty Commies!!!

Thank you Polite24 for showing me the error of my ways.

Want me to kiss your feet now?

NAH!! FUCK IT! AND FUCK YOU TOO!!!

YOU CAN KISS MY BIG FAT ASS!!!

No, I didn't miss that part.

In fact, I responded to the part.

Let me refresh your stale moldy little mind.

First you said . . .

The only point you can see, is the one you see when you look in the mirror, and see the one on top of your head.

Yeah, you're a pin head! A real ZIP!!!

No matter what I tried to do, to prevent you from doing it, you still had to continue spewing forth your infantile, moronic, and imbecilic slobber and drool.

So now, I have to re-post my earlier comment to refresh your memory.

How old did you say your were? 18? 19? 20?

I don't remember, but for one so young, you have a really piss poor memory.

Either you must have only 2 brain cells to rub together, or else, you decided to avoid the rush and get a good head start on your senility!

didn't even read that post first time through, just went to the last one.

Like I said, I can see both points. Part of me believes that it is petty and he shouldn't be that worked up over some guys playing fantasy football and giving him a little hard time(probably jokingly) about not wanting to play.

I can also see how it'd get on his nerves and he'd be upset because they're not doing any work and perhaps he is.

In the grand scheme of things, I'm sure this is way down on Milhouse's priority list. But here, in this forum, it's appropriate for it to right at the top.

And it IS annoying. That's for sure.

And not only is it annoying, whoever doesn't participate is ostracized.

That doesn't happen with any other office event. Only fantasy foolishness.

Quite correct, actually. But I do point out articles to 'further the cause', so to speak. The general attitude of most of the sports bores in here, especially the one shot posters seems to be to imply at the very minimum that we have no evidence to support our arguments. Just whining.

Evidence is where you find it.

I saw a movie today called Supersize Me. This was a documentary where a guy ate nothing but McDonald's food for 30 days to see how badly it screwed his body up.

During this documentary, it was pointed out that physical fitness is only mandatory in one state, and that is Illinois (things could have changed since this film was made), and by physical fitness, I saw some really great programs being implemented. Things that I didn't have in high school or grade school. Treadmills, stair climbers, the coaches acting more like encouraging personal trainers, mountain climbing walls, activities that could easily not be competitive nor cause people to easily cop attitudes with one another. Well, there was one that was neat, it was a riding exercise bicycle that was computer linked to a video game where you and another player/exercise bike rider are on a motorcycle on a big TV screen in front of you. Turning the bike caused your on screen persona to 'lean' left or right. Speeding up and slowing down obviously also played roles.

This in my opinion is an excellent example of what can happen if you marry two seemingly unrelated motifs together, one of them being something that Polite and Sergey argue about on a regular basis. Physical fitness and video games.

As for Polite's comments, maybe you're finally starting to understand. It isn't the fact that they're playing fantasy football or engaging in anything they like that offends me. It's the fact that they not only harrass me with their activities, they disrupt the workplace with their activities, but most importantly (and this would apply in out of work situations as well), a good deal of them become offended that I don't participate by choice. Most of my annoyance comes from those three things. And nowhere in there, to confirm your statement, did I mention that sports were the problem.

And for future reference, in any of my arguments, sports are never the problem. Just the people that love them enough to treat them like an organized religion.

Millhouse speaks for me as well. I've never had anything against ball games. I'm simply critical of certain attitudes and mindsets that are culturally associated with certain sports and are sometimes the cause of misconduct. The problem is not that some athletes and coaches are simply individuals who just happen to be bad people (a fact, by the way, that is often ignored by the sports media and I think deliberately so); the problem is a cultural one that has developed over generations. Sometimes the problem is both insitutional and cultural. The wrong attitudes have been expressed by many of the critics of this website, such as Captain America, samdaman, Harold, and others. Polite24, however, clearly does not fall into this category. So, I'm not criticizing him in this post. Just wanted to be clear about that.

Millhouse, while I certainly don't agree with any of the hateful comments made by posters on our side, I have to say that the reason why so many of the critics of this website react so hatefully to it is simply because they are arrogant. They're full of conceit. Notice that they usually don't object to any particular statements that have been made. Anyone has the right to dsagree with this website, but should be willing to engage at least one of us in a serious dialogue instead of doing a hit-and-run job (which actually is intellectually cowardly). This also shows how immature they are. (Notice that I am not saying that this is true of all the critics of this website. But it is true of many of them.)
