Stop! Polite24 himself admitted he is just having fun! Thus he isn't serious right now! The Trolling One never lies!

He may listen, but he does not comprehend.Earl wrote:Give credit to Polite24 for trying to see another point of view. At least he listens.
Yeah! I agree with you! You trolls never lie!Sergey wrote:Stop! Polite24 himself admitted he is just having fun! Thus he isn't serious right now! The Trolling One never lies!
They might mean no harm, but the fact remains, they still cause harm.Polite24 wrote:Millhouse, I can kind of now see your point. I do think that these people mean no harm, just some people can't fathom other people not liking sports.
Are you referring to me?Polite24 wrote:I don't comprehend?
Says the guy who goes on random crazy rants that make no real sense.
Polite24 wrote:Guess you missed the part where I said I could kind of see Millhouse's point?
No, I didn't miss that part.Polite24 wrote:Guess you missed the part where I said I could kind of see Millhouse's point?
And then I said . . .Polite24 wrote:Millhouse, I can kind of now see your point. I do think that these people mean no harm, just some people can't fathom other people not liking sports.
The only point you can see, is the one you see when you look in the mirror, and see the one on top of your head.Fat Man wrote: They might mean no harm, but the fact remains, they still cause harm.
That is, some of them might mean no harm.
But, please don't tell me that it's 99% percent of them that mean no harm.
The fact is, most of them are assholes who will harass you on the job because you don't wish to participate in their childish Kindergarten sandbox games.
And you might even have a boss who's asshole enough to fire you for not participating.
And please don't tell me it can't happen!
If I can be denied and deprived of a decent education just simply because I didn't like sports, then people can also lose their jobs if they don't like sports.
So, before you say anything . . .
. . . I'm heading you off at the pass before you can even begin to open you moronic mouth and spew forth any more of your imbecilic slobber and drool.
Quite correct, actually. But I do point out articles to 'further the cause', so to speak. The general attitude of most of the sports bores in here, especially the one shot posters seems to be to imply at the very minimum that we have no evidence to support our arguments. Just whining.Ray wrote:In the grand scheme of things, I'm sure this is way down on Milhouse's priority list.
Millhouse speaks for me as well. I've never had anything against ball games. I'm simply critical of certain attitudes and mindsets that are culturally associated with certain sports and are sometimes the cause of misconduct. The problem is not that some athletes and coaches are simply individuals who just happen to be bad people (a fact, by the way, that is often ignored by the sports media and I think deliberately so); the problem is a cultural one that has developed over generations. Sometimes the problem is both insitutional and cultural. The wrong attitudes have been expressed by many of the critics of this website, such as Captain America, samdaman, Harold, and others. Polite24, however, clearly does not fall into this category. So, I'm not criticizing him in this post. Just wanted to be clear about that.Millhouse wrote:And for future reference, in any of my arguments, sports are never the problem. Just the people that love them enough to treat them like an organized religion.
Millhouse, while I certainly don't agree with any of the hateful comments made by posters on our side, I have to say that the reason why so many of the critics of this website react so hatefully to it is simply because they are arrogant. They're full of conceit. Notice that they usually don't object to any particular statements that have been made. Anyone has the right to dsagree with this website, but should be willing to engage at least one of us in a serious dialogue instead of doing a hit-and-run job (which actually is intellectually cowardly). This also shows how immature they are. (Notice that I am not saying that this is true of all the critics of this website. But it is true of many of them.)Millhouse wrote:[The general attitude of most of the sports bores in here, especially the one shot posters seems to be to imply at the very minimum that we have no evidence to support our arguments.
